March 30, 2013 - Wonder 5 night Western Caribbean Cruise

Hi friends and fellow cruisers. Only 40 days out and we'll be on our way!!:cool1::cheer2:

Would those of you/us participating in the FE have a problem providing your "Family" (Last) name? I'm thinking of using it for my FE gifts.

Can't wait to meet you all!

We are the "Zink" family - if anyone else may need it.

I'll add these as people post them or they can be PM's to me...don't be offended if some do not do it. I've had requests in the past to keep that confidential to protect the kids....

Hi Everyone!...The FE is now updated with the latest and greatest information. Please let me know if I typed something incorrectly, etc.

Here are the summary counts. I'll break the info down several ways to help as much as possible depending on how you are doing your FE...

Total Number of participating cabins: 16
Total Number of participants: 52
Total Number of Kids: 21
Total Number of Princesses: 14
Total Number of Pirates: 7

The only thing we need to finalize is the time/place of the first day meet...I plan to print off some stickers that you can place on your lanyard's cardholder that will make it easy to recognize members of our group....still working on that. I'll have those out at the meet.....

Almost everyone has shared. I have received a PM from a cruiser who had a privacy concern.

My last FE, we had a closed FB group, so it was a bit easier to obtain this info.

Can't wait to board!! Haven't sailed the Wonder since 2010, and am looking forward to getting back on a "classic" after two trips on the Dream.

We have never cruised when an "optional dress-up night" was scheduled. We do like to dress up but are unsure of what most people do. What are all of your plans?

We usually take the opportunity to dress up and get some great family pictures. Gives us an excuse to breakout the tux and fancy dresses. On previous cruises we saw people dressed to the nines and others in cruise casual. It's really personal preference.

My name is Addison and I am 10 years old. My parents are letting me use the account to reply. I too would like to FaceTime or email 10 or 11 year olds on the cruise. Please private message my dad with your email and I would love to be in contact with you before the cruise

We are the Nagowski Family! (We have two rooms but the same last name!)

SOOOOO EXCITEDDDDD!!!!
Hi! You probably have already told us this, but I'm not sure, do we give a gift to each of your cabins? Thanks! We are so excited too. I've already had a dream where we were on the cruise!

Ok I am obsessing a little on what they will do for Easter day.

I wonder if this will be dress up night? Has anyone on our cruise actually been on an Easter cruise before?

I'm also wondering about Easter baskets. I asked ages ago about them and past cruisers mentioned you could buy them at guest services on the ship. I was checking the gifts section of the DCL site and saw they had some special Easter things you could purchase. I started a thread that asked if this is the same as the onboard option, but I haven't gotten any responses from past cruisers yet: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3071425

So much to plan for.. I cannot wait!

We plan to bring some small basket like containers that we'll fill with a few goodies and Easter grass that morning. I'd call DCL directly to ask about special items to buy.

I do believe that Easter is our dress up night. :thumbsup2

We were on the Dream last year for Easter. In do not recall "Easter specific" merchandise. They did have Easter morning worship services, a non-denominational sunrise service and a Catholic Mass (8:30 am, I think). There were Easter themed chocolate displays set up throughout the ship. I recall gettin dressed up that night. This trip, Easter is night 2, so probably dress-up night.

Yes, we are giving two different gifts so if you can swing the extra gift so that both rooms get a gift, that'd be awesome!

Traditionally, my parents' families would put out hats the night before Easter and the Easter Bunny would put treats in them. When I was growing up the Easter Bunny would often put an Easter basket with treats in my hat. I think we'll have my son just put out his sun hat. Mickey and Minnie should dress up for Easter!

I'm super excited to flip my calendar tomorrow to March. It's the month that we get to enjoy this amazing vacation...celebrating the small things. :)
