March 3,2014 Magic Bahamas cruise

I would like to participate in the fish extender. Our cabin number is 7622.
The six weeks cut off date is fine with me.
It is me and DH...no kids. Thanks.

Less than 6 months to go.wohoo!:cool1::banana:

We are approcaing the 5 month mark!! It looks like this cruise will be a lt of Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana Mardi Gas escapees.

Hello, We just booked this Cruise.
Karen and Ken DS Garret 10 and DD Lauren 9
If its not too late we would like to do the FE. This will be our third Disney cruise.
We are in 6534.:goodvibes:goodvibes

My wife and I will be joining y'all on the Magic! We're traveling with my daughter, son in law, granddaughter,6 and grandson,3. My wife and I escaped Mardi Gras in 2010 and made a cruise on the Wonder. And we just returned from a Dream 4 day cruise earlier this month with same daughter and family. DCL does a great job, everything was wonderful. (except for not getting to go to Castaway in 2010 due to severe winds that kept the Magic from leaving the dock there!) My only advise is DIET before the cruise, the food is excellent!:)

Welcome to the newcomers! Geauxlsutigers, are you guys in Baton Rouge? We have family just north of there who are serious tiger fans, as in season tickets are in the third generation.

Has anyone else gotten as far as planning excursions? We are planning the Greycliff chocolate excusion in Nassau. Has anyone done this one in the past?

I would much prefer some conversation to dining alone, but don't want to risk a zoo at the table!

Well... I guess that leaves my family out! ;)
That sounds like a good idea though. I've only ever travelled as part of a larger group of friends and family; two or three staterooms with between 6 to 12 cruisers in total. We have always had a table to ourselves. This time around there are five of us in one stateroom so should we expect to be seated with others? We have only ever cruised on the Fantasy and Dream and are really looking forward to the smaller ship. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions for first-time Magic passengers?

Oh, come on, your kids cannot be that bad. We had tablemates once outside of DCL who let thier kids crawl over and under the table and run around the dining room causing chaos. It was a BAD experiiece with the whole dinig room staring. We are the type who try NOT to be noticed. That's the kind of zoo we are looking to avoid!

You may be seated with others or by yourself. Tables hold up to 11, I think? And there are different table sizes. You can request thatyour party be seated by themselves if you like. With just the 3 of us, it can get boring being alone the whole cruise. We would love some company.

We just got off of the Dream this morning (B2B 3-night & 4-night DVC Member Cruise). We booked this cruise while on board. The Magic has always been our favorite and we're anxious to see the changes to "our" ship! (Plus, it will make us Platinum before our transAtlantic in September! :) )We'll also be bringing our DD (19).

We went on the DVC cruise in January with our two grandchildren. It was very relaxing and very different from he normal DCL trip. Hope you had a great time and got lots of great goodies!

Wow!I would LOVE to go on a B2B OR a DVC member cruise, but my work schedule won't allow it since I am a teacher. :teacher: I have about 8 more years until I retire so maybe then I can look forward to one of those cruises. I know some are thinking well, you have all summer off, you can do a B2B then. Except it would be tough paying the summer time prices for a B2B, and they never offer the member cruise during the summer.

We (my DH, Capttigger and I ) can't wait to try the Magic. It's the only Disney ship we haven't been on. We started off sailing the on the Wonder and fell in love with her. This will be our first time going back to a classic ship after sailing the Wonder 3 times, the Dream 4 times and the Fantasy once....in that order. We are getting excited! I can't wait to experience the smaller ship again. I remember after sailing on the Dream for the first time I said I would rather sail on the Wonder, but then after sailing on the Dream a second time, I kind of got used to her.

I see you are going to become Platinum on this cruise! How exciting! We have to finish 2 more cruises before we become Platinum.

We thought long and hard about going on the Fantasy during this week (our daughter will be on spring break) to complete the "grand slam." We just didn't enjoy the larger class of ship (Dream) as much as the Magic, so here we are!

One of the really great things about the B2B, with the second half being the Member cruise, is that we got to go to Castaway Cay 3 times in one week!!!

Five months seems so far away!!! Can't wait! Ill pm you when my post count gets high enough! I'm pretty sure there will be many Cajuns on this trip due to Mardi Gras escapes!

Hi Everyone
We booked a b2b last night and are so excited:cool1:
We are doing the 3day (Feb28) and this one. Just like Emzed
It will be myself and DH.
We are from Louisiana and are also getting away for Mardi
Gras.
Can't wait
Please include us on the FE list.
If there is a FB page we would like to join also.

No, we live about 90 miles east of Baton Rouge in Picayune MS but my daughter and her family live in Baton Rouge. We are BIG LSU fans! Both of my daughters were Tiger Band members, my son in law was an athletic trainer on the 2003 Natl Champion football team & now works for LSU. His Dad played for LSU in the 70s. Next weekend we'll have 3 generations in Tiger Stadium.

We lived in Baton Rouge for a few months back in 2005. We were living in Chalmette, LA (looking forward to meeting Time4Disney and Capttiger)until Hurricane Katrina flooded us out. We spent 4 months in Baton Rouge, love the place. Somehow we wound up in Mississippi but we still spend lots of time in Louisiana, especially during football season.

My wife, daughter and granddaughter went to the Greycliff chocolate excusion in Nassau this apart September and really enjoyed it.
