FYI - After Kshabare's awesome post about getting passports stamped, I sent off an email to DCL asking how this can be accomplished - sadly, it does not look like it will be possible. DCL's response (quoted from the email I received from them) was as follows :sad1: :

"When traveling to St. Maarten and St. Thomas, it is not customary to
have Passports stamped. Unfortunately, this is not something that can be arranged"
I am not sure this CM knows al the facts. I was under the impression that this was accomplished through the Customer Service/Guest Relations desk.

You can all stop looking for jobs for me!!! I GOT RECALLED TO BOEING!!!!!!!!Almost 5 years after being laid off from them, I'm going back! I went to the post office and got my certified letter today. I should be going back in about a month. I'm so excited!!! :Pinkbounc The plant I'm going back to is about 10 minutes from our house. The only downside is it's 2nd shift, so I won't see the family much during the week.

Somehow we got moved back again to page 3. This simply won't do at all. Are we all to busy with back to school, jobs, shopping, or what not that we have stopped posting?

Here is PD to all pixiedust: and a group hug :grouphug: . Maybe that will get our collective juices flowing.

While I have everyone's attention, can somebody tell me who took my little girl and replaced her with the young lady I took to church today? The one who just started confirmation and was wearing chic new clothes? What happened to my little tomboyish daughter?? :confused3 :confused3

And will they steal my younger one in a few years and exchange her with someone I don't recognize anymore?

Brenda,
You have that a bit backwards. Caropooh is going back to Boeing after being laid off almost 5 years. I work for REI and have for 21 years. She sometimes gets mad at me since I have been there for ever and in the 12 years we have lived in Washington she has had 7 different employers. Before we moved from California, she had been at Disneyland for 15 years.

Page 3 is unaccetable for such a group of communicative people.

We do, in fact, have a contract on our old house. The couple of wants to buy it did a professional inspection on Saturday and we'll get the results later today. IF there are no major hiccups, then we go to settlement on the 30th. I keep saying to Johnna that I feel like this house (new new one) won't truly be ours until we sell the other one.

Johnna will have to get the inspection news, however, because I'll be on a plane to LA for a three-day trip.

Everyone grab a hefty-bag sized pile of pixie dust for us, will you?

Thanks.

Mark :thumbsup2

Unfortunately, this is not the first time I've been alittle backwards
sorry..

Congratulations to you...Caropooh, on going back to work w/ boeing :)

I started a thread about this cruise date, not realizing that there were so many pages and posts with so many cruise dates.

Well I am new to this board and loving it :) I will be traveling with my DH, DD11 and DD9 plus my parents. This is our second time on the Magic.

SOOO glad to find you all.

Welcome to the group. :grouphug: I hope you take the time to read through our multi-page thread. We are a bit crazy at times, but we like it.

:welcome: amandalinz!
The more the merrier we always say!

Busy doesn't begin to describe life right now - seems like for all of us. I know personally that Sept and Oct are the two busiest months for me at work :surfweb: , plus back to school :teacher: and adjustments to those new routines, not to mention volunteer commitments at church too, plus the birthday parties :cake: (did you know that Sept. and Oct. are the busiest times for delivery wards in hospitals?) I barely have time to watch my favorite shows :happytv: or read a book. I'm in a book club, but can't seem to make time to read! The only book club meetings I can participate in are the ones after my cruises! :boat:

And as if there's not enough on my plate, I've signed up to be an independent consultant for a home based skin care business. I'm sure I'm not allowed to mention it here, so I won't. PM me if you're interested. :listen:

I guess I'll cut out yet another hour of sleep a night...

Challenge: Who can use the most smilies in one message? Caveat: they have to be relevant to the message. A bahama mama to the winner. I'm the only judge, and I accept bribes... :stir:

Well now, nothing like stirring up the pot :stir: and then offering to buy something to drink  :drinking1 Excuse me :guilty: that was BAHAMA Mama not a Banana Mama :rotfl2:

I know my DW would  at my bad puns. Here is some :pixiedust: to everyone who might decide to try this competion out and some popcorn:: for those who just want to watch. Let us all hope nobody gets :furious: at this while :surfweb: , remember we are all friends :grouphug: and it won't be too long :hourglass :hourglass until we :drive: to the airport to party: on the :boat: or :beach: . I was just given a message that there were too many smilies in this post, so I deleted some of Johnna's post. Now let me hear a big :cheer2: and some :yay: for my  post
:wave2: bye for now.

I believe that this is 26 including the one in Johnna's challenge and the ones in my signature.

Well, all.... Sorry to say, the Snarks family will no longer be on the cruise.

Our son'r adoption finalized in sept, but before we can get his passport, we need to
1 change his social security #
2 have his birth certificate amended with his new name, SS#, and parents.

It may still all go through in time, but it's cutting it too close. We don't want to wait till it's too late to get our deposit back.

Have fun. !!

:confused3 :confused3 But I was under the impression that the Govt pushed back the Passport requirement for land/sea travellers until 2009. You still need a passport for flights as of Jan 2007. If you don't have to get the passport for DS, will you stay with us?

Congrats on the adoption again.

Alanapapa is correct. Passports will not be required(at this point) until June 1, 2008.http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/dcl/en_US/myCruise/landing?name=PassportDetailPage Does this mean you can maybe still come?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!

We already cancelled. I can't believe out travel agent didn't mention that. It would be a handy piece of information to have.

We'll have to look into it.

We were in the middle of obtaining photos and submitting application when I heard the word on Oct.4 that we are not required now until 2009. They are instituting a new digital ID of some kind which will be required for 2009. I will be saving about 400.00. Geez, I couldn't even wrangle everyone together for a simple photo :happytv: I'm so happy, more spa loot!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)
I believe the flight passport requirements are for persons traveling to the US from other countries, this will be required for 2007. My understanding is that if you are a US citizen flying within the US they are not required at this time. :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:
Speaking of flying, I need a Ding from Southwest :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 and a little Valium to get on! I hate planes :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: Love that boat though :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
