March 29th, 2014 Fantasy Cruise

This is our second Disney cruise but first time trying to figure out the FE groups. Just getting on DiSboards for the first time and trying to find a group. We actually have 2 rooms including 3 adults, 18yo girl, 15yo boy and 5 yo boy. The most impt for us to include are the 2 boys. The rest of us can be involved or not. Whatever works best. Are y'all still organizing groups or can you tell me how to find a group... Thanks! We are from Dalton GA!

Thank you for any help

Welcome!

All are still welcome to join our FE group, it's only one group for now but will likely be split up as a number of new people are joining. I believe you need to have 10 posts before you can PM. I have added a placeholder on the list for now. You can either give the required info on this thread, message me on facebook, or just wait a day or two until you have enough posts. There's really no hurry at this point, so rest assured you'll be able to do it. :thumbsup2

Whether it's just your kids, or everyone wants to participate, either way will be fine.

Welcome and yea another 18 year old I think that makes three my daughter Cady is turning 18 right before our cruise and is looking forward to the adult areas. With three 18 year olds they should be able to do some fun stuff together.

I was not able to distinguish which FB account was yours to send the information?
Thanks for your help! And from what I can tell in previous spread sheet, is it just the 15 and under crowd participating? Works for us, just making sure I understand correctly!

You can join our facebook group:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/450254265047833/

And there's a post on that page (at the top) by me about the FE group, so you could send me the info from there.

The FE group isn't limited to the 15 and under crowd, but there were some 'buckets' of age groups on the spreadsheet so that's probably what you saw. We have some couples without kids participating, so it's really up to you as far as who you want to be in it. You could do both staterooms or you could only do the one with your 5 and 15 year olds in it.

Hope this helps! :)

Welcome to the new arrivals! :cool1:

Nice to see some younger kids joining. Our DS will be 19 months when we sail.

FASKIRU - I've cruised with Aussies before... looking forward to it this time to! :woohoo: They were quite the party crowd...

Our DS (youngest) will be 21 mos during the cruise...hoping they can make some trouble together ;)

Seven years ago, DH and I went on a cruise and they tendered us to a port. I will never forget that day because my whole body was shaking and I was hysterically crying during the ENTIRE ride. Anyone else staying on board the whole time on day three? LOL

Not all tenders are created equal. :) Do you remember where you last tender was? The first I was ever on was in Belize, where they anchor waaaaaaayyyyy off shore and it took 15 or so minutes in a small, cramped tender to get in. Lots of rocking....

Grand Cayman was nothing like that when we were there last year. Very calm when we were there, and the ride is only a minute or so. They have the big double-decker tenders there. I wouldn't write off seeing Grand Cayman just yet! At least make it a game-time decision. :cool1:

We were on a Princess cruise and they tender to their private island Princess Cay. It felt like the waves were rolling over the boat, it was cramped and smelly...granted I was newly pregnant and I am sure that all that contributed but it felt like an hour of shaking/crying and was not enjoyable. I begged my husband to leave me there!:worried:

I wanted to see who would be intrested in a mixology class

I plan on doing most, if not all, of the tastings offered on the ship, because that's the kind of party animal I am. :drinking1 I did all the tastings on our last Magic cruise.

That said, looking at previous navigators it looks like tastings are stacked up back to back all day on the first sea day... that might be too much for even me. :sad2:

Or were you talking about doing a private one? I'd be down for that too... The mixology classes are usually pretty fun. :drinking:

Sorry for my (over)use of smileys in this post!

I was think of a private one for our dis group. it would be a fun we did it on our last cruise really enjoyed it.
What we would need is a few weeks before the cruise we would need to send our names and conformation # to our contact person.

Do you know how many we need? I'm game!

Celebrating our 10 year anniversary in April and decided that a Disney cruise would be a 'magical' way of doing so. I have been reading some of the posts to try and get some insider tips.
I would be interested in joining in the 'fish extender' group, but still not sure what that all entails. Are you to bring small gifts for each person for each day or is one token for the entire length of of the trip?

Stateroom #: 7598
DisBoard Name: ThePans
First Names: Peter, Wendy, Alexander and Logan
Ages of Children: Alexander: 9 Logan:8
Email address: won't let me include this info!

I also requested membership to the FB page.

Welcome! And congratulations on 10 years! :cool1:

I think I just accepted your request to the FB group, so if you want to send me a private message on FB (I'm Nathan Pond) you can give me your family's last name and email address.

As for the FE gifts. I don't know that I've ever heard of someone doing one gift per day for everyone, but I suppose it has been done. :) Nearly everyone only does one gift per person and delivers it at some point throughout the week. Also make sure that your family has their own fish extender, which you'll hang from your fish outside your door for people to drop your gifts in.

If you want to join, just confirm with me and I'll get you added to the list. Thanks!
