I just got off the phone with The Perfect Gift. Shirley was at lunch but she had a nice assistant who helped me.

I ended up getting him a large sand pail with bottled water, snacks, binoculars, underwater camera, and a disney beach towel.

I hope he enjoys it.

Our weather went to cold and wet to warm and it seemed like it was overnight that it happened. I haven't ordered the basket yet but I am also going to ask her to include a pair of googles. My ds (10) likes to swim underwater and the first time we cruised his eyes were hurting.

At dinner tonight my dh commented that he can't wait for the chocolate soufflee. Yum Yum! I found a dress for formal night on sale this weekend and a pair of shows. A new dress always requires new shoes.

Talking about shoes...I just started working part time and guess where it is??? A family owned shoe in my neighborhood!!! I even get a discount I am getting some great shoes for the cruise and so is my family!!! Needless to say my whole paycheck is spent on shoes!! Have a great day everyone!!

I wish I'd thought of googles also. That is really a good idea.

I LOVE SHOES!!!! I went and had my dress altered day before yesterday. I'm excited about dressing up for formal night.

Does anyone plan to do a sign for their cabin door. I would like to do it but I'm not quite sure how.

We have been signed up for this cruise for almost a year now and only yesterday, did we think of looking for "discussion boards" about Disney Cruises. We have been reading all of these posts about side trips and what to bring, do, wear, etc... Thanks to everyone for all the information!

In our family we have DH (46), DW (41), DD (8) and DD (almost 4). We're so excited to experience a Disney Cruise. My wife and I were on a Carnival Cruise almost 20 years ago (without kids) and can't wait to bring our daughters on "The Magic".

I believe we are on deck 6 and have 2nd dining (boo).

Thanks for the "welcome"... we will be flying into Orlando on the day of the cruise (flight leaves MN at approx 6:30 am).

By the way, I goofed up! As my daughter quickly pointed out to me - she is 7, not 8! Oops!! So, both daughters will be in the kids area for the younger children.

Welcome ubetha!!!! Bet it's been cold in Minnesota!! We have DD11 and DS 71/2. Can't wait to meet your family and all our other disboard friends!!! I am as excited about that as the cruise!! I went through all the kids clothes and sorted everything out today. Even DH has some clothes out!! I did find I was short an outfit for DD, so what did I do...head to the mall!! I even found something for myself!! I do feel a little less stressed having their stuff all set. Now I just need to do me!! Have a great day everyone!!

Does anyone know how to find out the nightly themes aboard the ship? For example, we've heard something about Captain's Dinner, Pirate's night, etc... Any ideas on where to look for this kind of thing?

I had my first dream about the cruise last night. I don't remember a lot but it seemed kind of stressful. I can't believe we leave in 9 days for FL and in 10 days we will be at see. I have now lost 15 lbs so am able to fit into more of my summer clothes.

That is great about your weight.!! It is hard to believe that is it so close. We've waited for sooo long!!! I have my big list of odds and ends to buy today!!! I am sure that I will be going one more time!! We have a lot of piles in our room!!! We are going to bring the suitcases up this weekend!! I am going to look for a waterproof pouch today so wish me luck. I'll let you know. Have a great day!!!!

We are so excited. I keep thinking things like 3 more days of work before we leave, etc.

Congrats on the additional weight loss. I'm still at 7 pounds but hopefully I'll try to manage not gaining too much on vacation. Lots of walking, swimming, etc.

I have piles of clothes everywhere also.
