March 24, 2012 - 6 Night Western

I'm sorry if I missed this post, but I am trying to get a total count for the FE so that I can get my gifts together. From the spreadsheet I count 55 adults, 26 girls and 23 boys. Did I count that correctly? I didn't know that many adults would participate!

Also, I am thinking about shipping a few items, like baby food and supplies ahead of time. My pediatrician suggested it. Has anyone ever successfully done this? Any tips?

We finally got our room numbers!

Tania and Emma (the only ones we had that weren't assigned) were just given #2628.

That completes our reservation!

48 days until we sail, which means 47 days until Spring Break (an even bigger celebration for this teacher)...

Oh, we absolutely can't wait! Starting early packing! :yay:
My parents just left on the Princess cruise following the one with the 'norovirus' passengers... so I'm praying that everyone stays well!

Cool! I added it to the Doc.
It's nice that you got assigned rooms pretty close together.

You are in the FORWARD FE group. The count for adults/kids is at the bottom of the list. 26 adults, 13 girls, 14 boys. For a total of 53 people in this group. Hope this helps.

Hey! We are in 2616! First time Disney cruisers! Looking forward to it.... I just found this forum. Really neat "meeting" some people before cruising.

JulieAnn,

My wife (Ashley), three-year-old son (Harrison), and I (Kevin) are right next door in 2618!

Welcome aboard!

Kevin

Just book the trip for the wife, daughter and myself. Looking forward to great times. Is there any tips ahead of time. We are driving from Alabama and will stay the night before some where there at the port. Any suggestions? Thanks

I live right here in Brevard County (I teach right here at Cocoa Beach Jr. / Sr. High School, just a few miles from the Port) and my in-laws are coming from Brewton, AL to join us on the ship.

Most people stay at the Radisson near the port (they offer free shuttle if you stay there) or the Country Inn and Suites (they offer a free shuttle as well). When you make a reservation, tell them you are on a cruise and they'll set you up.

That's a LONG trip from Alabama, but will be worth it in the end. Be safe!

We are driving from Bama as well and will be staying at the Country Inn and Suites the night before. We're actually going to park at the port isntead of taking the shuttle because the price of the cruise package with parking is about the same as the room only price and parking at the port so may as well not deal with the shuttle.

It's not too bad actually, we do it all the time to Orlando and KSC.

Thanks, I appreciate the info. Driving from Maxwell AFB... Can't wait to take a break. Found out we are in 2638. Are you able to bring a bottle of wine aboard in your luggage?

I've heard you can bring it aboard in your carry-on, but not checked luggage.:)

Welcome to the cruise! You'll have a great time.

Just noticed the cruise meet. Looks like a lot of work went into this. Well done. Looks like there will be a bunch of 11 and 12 years olds in the Edge for our grandson to hang out with. :cool1:Does anyone have the Jeep tour booked for Cozumel? Trying to find anyone who has already done it. I shall keep an eye out for all those green beads.:cheer2:

It helps a lot! Thank You! I'm stiil learning to read the speadsheet. How do I know who is in the Forward FE group and who is in the other FE group (Aft?)? Sorry for another question, but my sister-in-law and I want don't want to mess it up!! Getting our gifts together this weekend :)

When you open the spreadsheet, there will be tabs along the bottom that you can click on, which designate each group and open that list. We're finalizing this weekend too. :yay:

Thanks for the FE help Princess777!

An FE note to Chernabogfamily: Grandma in room 6524 is NOT participating in the FE. Just Ryan and Laken. Sorry if I was misleading with my info.

Just got my FE gift ideas and the family's dinnerwear picked out! What is the rule on pants verses nice shorts for boys (age 7) at dinner? What about age 3? And is everyone wearing long gowns for formal night and knee - length for semi formal night? As you can see, I am the official "question poser" for all 16 members of my cruising family! lol

Also - I am traveing with a baby and was guided to the website babiestravellite.com for shipping baby supplies to the sip instead of packing them. Anyone ever use this website or one like it?

Hi! I am looking everywhere for a long gown for formal night, but I have not found anything I liked yet. I do have a knee length dress for semi formal night. Hope that helps!
