March 22, 2012 Dream SSMC Reunion AKA "It's all Gary's Fault" Cruise

Ok booking last night made me realize the cruise really isn't that far away. So I thought now might be a good time to start some discussions. I know everyone is busy with the holiday tomorrow but something we can talk about in the coming weeks:

1. When do we want the DIS meet onboard? We usually do 3 pm in the promanade lounge. Of course we'll have to find someplace else but do we need another time. According to a 5 day navigator from this year and the 5 day we went on a few years ago the DVC Member Presentation is 2:30-3:30 the first day. Since many of us are DVC members do we want the meet to be a time that doesn't conflict with this?
   
2. Have we settled on a time/place for the sunrise club?
   
3. Have we settled on a day/time to have our Jimmy Buffet sing along with Gary?
   
4. Buttons - has everyone gotten me their info?
   
5. Linked dining - has everyone gotten their info in to Dianne?
   
6. Fish Extenders - has everyone gotten their info in to Monika?
   
7. Pirate night picture - are we doing one? Who can organize it? I thought someone from the 2010 cruise said their was a charge - how did you handle that?

I posted this response on Facebook as well...

Mary...on the SSMC 2011...the Facebook group met at DLounge on the day we boarded. It was set up for 3pm and the Dismeet was at another lounge at the same time...quite a few of the dis group was also at our FB meet. The lounges are close together. The meet lasted an hour and still gave us enough time to get ready for the lifeboat drill at 4 pm.

Fish extenders....the cut off date is February 26, 2012. It's not too late to sign up.

Pirate night picture...Michael was in charge of that for the SSMC 2010 and there was an $85.00 fee. Not sure what it is on the Dream. Michael talked to the manager of Shutters.

I don't think there was a day and time for the Jimmy Buffet sing along. I do have a question...Are we singing with Gary or is Gary going to sing to us (seeing that it's all Garys fault)? Do we all know the words to the song?

Dianne...a couple of questions...are you booking transportation 1 way (resort to port) or 2 way? What is the time frame of pick up? The port opens at 11am. If the pick up is one way...we will have to make arrangements to get picked up at port and take us to resort. Also, who are you looking at for transportation and the cost?

Hi Monika, I am checking Tiffany town car service, FL Tours, MH Transportation, Happy Limo. I have never used any of these before. All suggestions are welcome. I was planning resort to cruise one way, I will be going from cruise to MCO.

For those wanting to share a ride from Cruise to MCO, I could maybe make arrangements for that too.

11 am is early for me, I don't think Disney got us to port last time until after 1 or so, the terminal was empty when we arrived. I felt like i was running to catch up with everyone last time. Thats why I said early, but you did answer my question about what time they start accepting arrivals, Thank You

Transportation from SSR to Dream.

I arranged for transportation Friday!

I reserved a Van for 7

rate 175.00, tip for driver not included ( 25.00 per person not including tip)

Looks like the Van will hold 10 passengers and 12 to 14 pieces of Luggage.

If someone else wants to be included, I will call back and add you to the reservation.

we have a 9:45 am pick up time, so we may arrive by 11:00 am.
