Hello All!

I am getting soooo excited as we get closer to our SSMC11 cruise and to this cruise. I must admit after spending the evening with Sue and Gail last week I am even more anxious.

That evening Sue, Gail and I discussed getting together again soon and hopefully being able to include other DIS friends that live in the area.

So, wanted to check in and see if anyone out there that lives in the NJ, PA, DE, and MD area would be interested in planning a get together.

I have a good news, bad news post. . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . .





Let's start with good news:

That is that Bobby and I will no longer be working together! He is quiting as IT Administrator for Boone County! Which is in county government at our local courthouse where I also work, in the Recorder's Office. And he has gotten a new IT position with the Iowa Dept of Transportation (aka IA DOT), which is working for the State. Ok, now we didn't really work together, but he did all the computer work for the courthouse, where I work, and it has been troubling at times for us. So, to say the least I am excited. Both for him and for us as a couple. So, we are both doing the happy dance.



The sad news is. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .




No, we are not cancelling our March cruise but we are going to be cancelling our Christmas cruise in December. With him starting a new job we just cannot justify taking a two week vacation during the holidays. But he did tell them about our October vacation already, our reservations being all booked, plane tickets purchased, accomodations being made, etc. and they said that they would work with him for that. Thank goodness. Because I don't think we could stand not going to F&W fest and Halloween at Disney!

So that is our exciting news for the week.

Wow, Chris. I think it is very hard to work in the same space as each other - puts more pressures on that you don't necessarily need on top of regular every day things - so that's good for you guys. I really hope it works out for the best!! You guys deserve it!

Sorry about your Christmas cruise - but I think I would have been crushed if you canceled the March one!! I wish I could be at the F&W Fest with you - I love that.

Thanks to you, and to everyone here, for the happy thoughts for today! It was a very nice day to know that Bob was home on USA soil!!

And I really wish you did live closer - it would be so much fun! Now if they would just lower airfares, maybe we could all visit one another more frequently . . .

Chris-sad to hear, anytime you have to cancel a Disney Cruise is a sad day

Sue - yes, it has been hard working together. And this new job is more of what he wanted to do when he retired from the Military. He will be working on an IT team just doing server work. He won't be the boss any more and he won't be having to deal with people who know nothing about operating a computer system. But the best part is, he will be making more as part of a team than he is at being the boss.

And there is no way we are cancelling this cruise. I would be crushed too! I can't wait to see everyone again. I tell ya, well you probably already know, but when we met with Mark and Mary in March at DTD is was like running in to old friends we have known forever. I'm sure it was the same when you had dinner with Lisa the other night. Such fun.

Yes, we would love to visit too, but way to far for us.

And yes, it is a very sad day when a cruise is cancelled. But, we are going to try and move it to next year.
