Yes, it is FRIGID here today!. Got up this morning and it was 5 degrees out! YIKES Sunny though cold. We are having another storm on Wednesday, but the dear weather people aren't sure whether or not it will be all snow, some snow and rain, or what! Guess we'll wait and see. Whenever they are not sure is when we usually get pounded by snow!!!

Anybody have anything exciting happening this week? I myself am hoping that this kidney infection goes away for go and stays away - I'm tired of feeling so lousy!

Dustin sends his thanks for all of the congrats for his being the new SPL! He's very excited that his is following in both big brothers' footsteps. Now to have him focus on his Eagle project . . .

But not this week - it's mid-term exams this week and I hope he does well! A little extra wouldn't hurt!!

I'll check back later - I'm home all day to rest (hahaha). With so much to do around the house, it's so hard to sit!!!

Good Tuesday Morning.

We are having a heat wave here. Our high is to be 30 degrees! And it is to be in double digits all week. That is pretty dang exciting to me.

Thanks for sharing the snowmobile pictures Dave. Looks like she was having a lot of fun. I don't think I have ever seen a snowmobile that small before. Just the right size for kids.

Lisa congrats on the new car. As always you are one busy lady. I don't think there would be any problem listing the cookies here. If a post was closed down it was most likely because someone was listing them trying to sell them. BTW before Christmas we were cleaning the attic for the same reason as you. Lots of stuff there we didn't need any more and lots of boxes that went up there just in case we needed the box to return.

I haven't heard from Bob yet so send whatever you can. I'll keep trying. Thanks soooooo much for the good thoughts for him and everyone out there.

Guess what? DH and DS will be at the NJ State Police Camporee as well!! DS has just been elected the Senior Patrol Leader for our troop and is very excited. Let me know what troop number your DS is in and maybe my guys can go over and say "hi".

Congratulations SPL Dustin!!

Sue, I'll go ahead and put something together but please make sure you send me an update if you hear back from your DS.

As for the Camporee, I heard the event has 10,000 scouts in attendance. WOW! is all I have to say. DS is Troop 15. Good luck trying to find them.

I just told DS they were attending and that Dustin is a SPL now. He said and thinks that is pretty awesome. I think it was more like......ahhhhhh Duuuuuddddeeee! Make sure you picture the bobbing of the head as he was saying it.

I do have a question for you. I recall reading in one of your posts that your DH works at a GS camp. Which camp? Where is it? I really want to send DD to camp this summer. The summer events calendar that we just got today lists 4 NJ camps. The closest of those camps (I think) is SACY and the only thing they had listed was for grades 3 and up. Anything for the young girls is too far away for day camp. Not sure if there are other camps and activities that just may not be included in that calendar we received today. This is all still so new to me and I really have not had time to get online and research the whole GS thing. I am so used to the boys activities. Loved that stuff. I want DD to get outside and do outdoor stuff. You can PM me the name if you would prefer and if you can let me know if they have summer camp for DD's age group. Currently a Daisy - 1st grade. I am seriously considering signing her up for one that is far away if I am able to find a place to work in the area. I have my laptop and I would just need an internet connection. I'm even considering seeing if she can go out to Cub Day Camp at Grice. Every year that DS was out there they had a girls den. They were the sisters of boys that were attending camp. They did the same activities as the boys...fishing, archery, BBs, etc. Not sure if they would let her but I want to find something. I would prefer a GS event if I can find one.

Lisa - good luck with your search for a girl scout camp. It is something she will remember forever. My girls loved going to camp. They had lots of fun.
