Welcome aboard! Glad you are joining us. This is a great group of cruisers. You'll have lots of fun.

Hey Dave - we posted at the same time. :thumbsup2

We are getting the snow right now. Just had to go to town to get Brooke from basketball and it is not a nice night to be out. Parts of the state are under blizzard warnings. I think Illinois might be getting it worse than what we will be. (Mary & Mark, Flo & Danny, stay safe).

As a new cruiser, where is the best place to have your cabin? I am Category 8C. Right now in back of ship.

Welcome aboard! As Dave said there is plenty of info in the first post. This is a great group and we always love adding new people to it!

Currently I am cabin 8166, in the back of the ship. Would it be better to move to the front. Worried about DH potentially getting "sea" sick.

Welcome aboard, we are a great group.

Lets wait for a cruise report, from our fellow mates that are sailing soon. They can share lots of good info about the Dream soon.:cool1::thumbsup2

well hello all, I got a call from work about 20 minutes ago.

Work is closed due to the weather tomorrow. Yea:thumbsup2:cool1:

expecting more ice tonight and snow tomorrow, work hopes to reopen on Wenesday...we will see.:confused3

All the Hospitals in the area, have gone into emergency status...and they are advising everyone to stay off the road.:confused3

DSIL is driving his 18 wheeler in this stuff tonight. He started his run a little earlier tonight. Has to get back to his lot by 3 a.m cause they will shut down then. Hope he makes it.:confused3

Good morning everyone! Well it looks like the snow isn't going to miss us this time. Hope everyone in the path stays safe.

Dianne that's great that they closed your office. I could only hope but don't think they will be closing ours. I do know the Sr. Managers had a meeting about it though so you never know. Good thing is I'm close to work, but I still don't like driving in snow. Hope your SIL got back safe and sound.

Alicia we've almost always stayed in the aft of the ship and I've never had a problem. I've heard that if you are worried about being sea sick then mid-ship is best. We're more mid-ship this trip because the Dream doesn't have the Navigator Verandahs that we love on the Magic and Wonder.

Well Mark has already gone to plow - not sure how much I'll see him over the next 24 hours.

Good Morning Fellow Cruisers!

Alicia-I also have had a tendency to get motion sickness, I have usually stayed mid ship as Mary said. I have also stayed forward and aft, usually I am ok. If the seas are rough it doesn't matter where you stay...:rotfl2::sick:

Chris-It's the great minds think alike posting! We are in for 6-9 today and 12-18 tomorrow :headache::headache: Okay, I give we are we going to put it? :confused3 Roofs are caving in all over.:sad2:

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning everyone.

Alicia - we prefer to stay in the front of the ship. But that is so we are closer the the adult pool. When we were in the back once we felt a lot of vibration, I think it was the Magic, and didn't care for it.

Well, our kids school just called it off for the day. It is nasty out. We are not in the blizzard warning now. But it is just a county away. We are under a winter storm warning though. Yuck.

Dianne - last night on the news they were showing St. Louis and the ice you guys have gotten. Be careful out there. And I hope you SIL got back last night ok. And :woohoo: for a day off work.

Dave - good luck with the moving of the snow. Man that is alot of snow. Hope you all stay safe out there.

Mary - brace yourself. It's a coming. And it is nasty.

Well, have a snowy day! :flower3:

wow Dave, roofs caving in, would not like that.

Just worried about Mom, she lives about 45 minutes from me and if the ice takes out her power. I am not sure what will happen, She does have a fire place but has not used it for years.

Just hoping for the best.

Everyone stay safe.

Just for the record I try to stay mid ship also, Cause I do get sea sick, but those little patches that you wear behind the ears work great for me!:)

DS is a firefighter / paramedic and is working, we have his daughter with us until he gets off.

Michael is making us breakfast, hmmmm pancakes and bacon,,,,and coffee:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Just noticed your new ticker Dave. Or has it been there a while? :confused3 I'm so observant. :rotfl: Are you packed yet?

We had a local parking garage roof fall in and in the town next to us a new gas station awning collapsed. Way to many people haven't shoveled their roofs off, I dont even want to see what happens tonight and tomorrow. Stay safe everyone!

If it was me I would be packing right up to the day, for a month. I actually plan my packing... so sad.

Well, gotta get ready to go drive in the snow to go to work. Boy I hate that 12 mile drive when it is so nasty out. But, I gotta.
