Good morning everyone! Don't forget that the Dream floats out at 11am Eastern this morning. I don't think we'll be home as we have appointments at our eye doctor this morning followed by our usual Saturday morning shopping.

Not sue If I will be here either, going to the pool this morning to excerise, and then a little later going to the apple butter fest in Kimmswick MO.:cheer2:

Good Morning DIS Friends!

The temp is 37 right now. Turning up heat, making hot chocolate, and getting ready to watch Polar Express. The cold weather put us in the mood. ;)

Do you have any idea how hard it is NOT to slip about upcoming cruise with kids. :confused3

I was reading posts and Lauren came in. I was showing her pics of Dream. Three times I slipped and had to recover with ...if we get to go....or ...on our cruise last year. :lmao:

Dave; AKA Flash Ken Genie and undercover boss

That sounds great! I like undercover boss. :worship: We will have to figure out witch one you are.;)

Michael - so sorry to hear about your job. Hope you get good news real soon.

Susan - Good luck with the weight loss. Stay focused on small milestones that will get you to your long term goal. That is what I have been doing the past 2 years. To date I am down 46 pounds from my highest point back in 2008. The part I am most proud of is that I have not gained any weight during this time. I stay focused on how I am preparing my foods...nothing fried, no fatty meats or at least limit them , only use brown rice, whole grain breads and things like that. Big thing is try not to eat within 2 hours before bed-which is hard sometimes- and do not eat while sitting in front of tv. If you do snack in front of tv then just put a small amount in a bowl and do not bring the whole bag with you. I know it sounds silly but these little thing made a big difference for me. I also try to make sure I eat things high in fiber and protein. Makes you feel more full and protein will give you some energy. Stay positive and do not beat yourself up if you have a bad day. Just get some extra exercise on those days. While watching TV or sitting at computer I try to do lots of stretching and flexing exercises. Good for the muscles

Dianne - Have fun with your workout today. Swimming is great exercise. I wish I still had a membership at our YMCA. I loved doing the aquarobics classes. Good exercise and easy on the joints.

Okay, I will get off my :cheer2: :cheer2: on life style changes. Hate to call them diets.

I'm just feeling so much better these days. Still have a ways to go but one day at a time. Hopefully I will have reached my long term goal by SSMC11.

I would like to share a recent event that has had a major impact on me and I hope it will help my DS understand the importance of taking care of himself.

My sisters neighbor who grew up with my nephews and like a sister to them was engaged to a young man whom she dated for 7 years. Their wedding was planned for Nov 13 just a few weeks away. After high school, they gradually started putting on weight. He much more so than she did. About two weeks ago she came home and found him on the floor....he died on the way to the hospital. He was 26 years young! It was due to a heart attack as a result of his weight.

I'm sorry to share such a sad sorry but I tell myself every day that this is the only body I am going to have in my life. If I do not take care of it, it will not take care of me. If this helps anyone look at food and their eating habits differently then it was worth sharing.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

We'll be carving pumpkins and watching the Dream at 11:

Lisa - no not Polar Express already! I'm not ready for that season. :dance3: But I really do like that movie.

Good luck with not telling the kids. We could never do that. DH just gets to excited and tells them. ;)

Good Morning Cruisin' Buddies!

Everyone ready for the big sail out of the Dream. I hope I have the right webcam up. Nothing seems to be happening yet But still have about 75 minutes to go EST. I am going to bet that it's too early for fu-fu drinks? :rotfl:

Well I guess this will be the next to last day I'll post in pink - October is almost done - I can't believe this month has flown by!

Have to go to work in a little bit and then our friend from Michigan will come over and stay until Tuesday. It's never quiet and dull here - although sometimes I wish . . .
