Military discounts come out in September too, right?

For those of you waiting for discounts to come out, do you already have reservations? This is our first time hopefully using discounts - my brother-in-law is military. I'm nervous I'm going to mess something up.
I was advised to already make a basic package reservation and that we will be able to modify it once/if the discounts come out. Does that sound right?

I've always been hesitant to book before military discounts come out (even for January travel), because I feared the more rooms booked, the less chance they would offer a discount. This year, though, I booked at Shades of Green for my back-up. I will either do split-stay with a Skyliner resort or just stay at Shades the whole time if there aren't the discounts I want.

What's a PIN code? How do you get one of those?

If you call to book or just want to check, you can ask if there is a pin code associated with your home address...fyi
