Hi Guys,

I've been trying to get a good rate, but the best so far is over $300.

I'm looking for a compact car from March 2-March 8.

Why so high?

It has really gone up..... I got $223 for March 10-20, but that was on August 29th, 2010. I am glad I booked back then.

May I ask how? I was interested because I have similar dates to the OP, but when I do a search at that website for March 2 to 8, the Alamo compact rate that I see is about $400 after taxes.

edit: That being said, OP, I suggest you try signing up for the Alamo Insiders Club and then search at the Alamo website (click the link for "more options" to enter your Insiders ID when you search). I see their rate for a compact for your dates to be $266 after taxes -- better than $300, anyway. Keep watching for more coupons or deals.
