Are these codes only good if you have some kind of membership? i.e. AP or AAA??? or whatever other memberships. I don't have any at all, so are these codes not even going to apply to me?

Yes the one released today is for Annual Pass Holders (AP).

I don't know how long you plan to stay, but it may be worth it to buy an annual pass or a AAA membership. In some cases you can save enough on one night's rate to make up the difference for the extra costs for the AP or AAA. Not to mention, the discounts you receive with an AP.

Yes, I cancelled an existing reservation, bought an AP and booked 7 nights with AP discount for $55 less than original cost.

Unforutnatly that did not happen for January and early February (a slow time of year). The only room discounts released were for AP holders and Florida residents. No room only discounts--but there were package discounts.

I woke up this morning and saw on WDWinfo.com that the AP rate is $79 for March ... I had paid $91 with an AP rate. Turns out I had booked preferred on accident at Pop. Rebooked and saved some more money over three nights!

I called last night about a March 16-21 trip so I can see my niece march in the parade at MK. The CM I talked to was very patient with me while I was trying to figure out what to do. I want to stay at Pop, but really need an AP discount since I'm going in Feb. too! (I need to save as much $$ as I can!) (plus my parents are going and they just got new flooring in their house...and their water heater went out on top of that! So they are looking for cheaper, also!) I asked him about any discounts and he seemed to think (99.9% sure) that some more discounts for later in the month would come out. Now, is he just saying that so he can book my trip? I was wondering if they got any commission for trips booked? Or do they tell us these things to drive us crazy!
So...I've got a room at Pop on hold until Jan. 30th. (I didn't know you could do that) and I've got a room reserved at Best Western Lakeside that I can cancel if the discount comes through. (never stayed there, but am hoping it is nice!) It was closer than the hotel that our high school band is staying in. So here's to hoping that Disney will come through with some more discounts!!

Just had to put in my two cents (and right now that's about
all I have since I don't have much of a discount! I've called all week looking for some pixie dust on my name/reservation..but nothing yet!
Do they ever give discounts this close to March? We're going March 11-17, at CBR and I haven't been able to find anything except AAA which made our rooms 170 and up. I'm a little 'noivous' because dh says it's too expensive, but I LOVE CBR..so I'm chancing it...
Let's keep hoping for the happy dance!!!!!!

i am going on March 12-19 & was told NO discounts due to Easter.It is blacked out from codes.But you may get something different from someone else.I paid 1705 for a preferred room at Pop plus 7 day MYW tickets for me,15 year old son,
11 year old daughter.So I am hoping to get cheaper but not holding my breath on it.

I would not count on any discounts for the 2 Easter weeks. Some of the resorts are already filled, so there is no reason for them to worry about not getting enough business.
