How bad is March when Easter is April 8th? When are the busiest spring break times? It looks like the best weather is in March, but I'd like to avoid the worst of the crowds.

I enjoyed a brief stay at WDW this past March (see below), and found the weather to be fine. Warm to hot in the afternoons, and pleasant in the evenings.

I visited in March especially to watch a couple of Atlanta Braves spring training games (hot sitting in the sun during afternoon games), but also visited three of the parks while I was there.

The parks were generally quite crowded, (especially Epcot during an evening extra hours day), but with advance planning I had no problem doing the things I wanted to do. Be sure to made advance meal reservations.

Enjoy.

We're kicking around the idea of going March 12-17, 2007. It shouldn't be any worse than the estimated crowd level of "9" it will be every day when we go next month, and it shouldn't be as HOT! So I'm thinking we're good. ;)

We are going March 24 to 31st. I can handle the crowds with no problem. Its the heat that I would have problems handling. During that time of the year the heat is bearable. Actually quite comfortable most of the time.

we went last year at the end of march... march 23-29th and it wasn't bad at all!!! the weather was perfect... gets cold at night though.. make sure you pack jeans and sweatshirts for that...we didn't and had to buy a sweatshirt there... not a bad thing though :) we are from Buffalo and thought... hey its Florida! so we packed shorts!! We liked it so much we are planning our next trip March 8-13th....this time we will be there for my B-day!!!

Are we better off the first half or the last half of March for crowds and heat? I want it to be warm enough to swim and enjoy the water rides, but not so hot that I can't enjoy it. Is there any difference between the first half and the last half for rain, humidity, heat, crowds etc.?

i don't think that it matters really... we have been there at both times and its pretty much the same... we just got hit with a really weird weather pattern when we were down there! It kinda sucked, but we still had a GREAT time!!!! can never plan on what mother nature is going to throw at you!!!

I went March 6-11 last year and it was practically empty. I couldn't believe it since i'd always been in the summer. But the weather wasn't ideal - temperatures in the 50s and one day (our planned Blizzard Beach day!) it rained the entire day. But the weather was still better than at home where we had a blizzard! So I'd take Disney in the rain anytime over that!

We went just this past march 18th-25th- and found the crowds to be VERY heavy. Weather was beautiful.... not too hot, and even chilly enough some nights to throw on a sweatshirt- but definitely warm enough to swim during the day. This was our first time going in March, and we probably won't be returning in March again- crowds were almost unmanageable- even when we compare to our trip last August. I would definitely try out the beginning of March- not sure if that would be any better.

Back a few months ago when we were meeting with the different college coaches and they were telling us about their program they all mentioned that they play in a preseason tournament in Port Charlotte during the March College Break every year.

I'm thinking cool, we've never been to wdw in March....yeah it may be alittle crowded with all the colleges breaking during this month but what the heck.

So the mastermind planning fanatic that I am, i get this brillant idea that for March of 2007 DH, Me and DS#3 will head down to florida to watch some of his games, we could be in Port Charlotte March 9 & 10, I booked a stay at BCV for the 11th to the 15th then head back to Port Charlotte for the closing weekend of the tournament, for us this is a win/win situation all around we get to see our son play some really good baseball and we get to visit our favorite place in the whole wide world.

Just found out the coach is now thinking about skipping the florida tournament and entering the Arizona Tournament instead....the best laid plans :confused3
