I'm hoping that our week there will be pleasant (crowd wise) but won't mind it being busy on the weekend as I am very much looking forward to ESPN weekend!!!!

Us too, I am prepared to just enjoy ! With my mom at age 60 and her first time, and my DD...it will hopefully be about the little moments other than how many rides and how many times!! OOps...mom is 69!

Hey, I'll be going w/ my mom and my DD TOO!
Mom just turned 65 and has been to WDW w/ us in '90, '92 and '94-- so it's been a while for her- lots of new stuff for her to see!
She says she enjoys "seeing Disney through the eyes of my grandchildren".
Sweet!
DS9 will be with us too. He had to choose between WDW and heading to Key Largo w/ DH and my two teen boys.

That's what I heard. We're doing all of our stuff during the week and then the P&P party on Friday (March 8th). So, I'm hoping that we get in before the cheerleading and Spring Break crowds. That would be nice!

Only 17 more days to go! Hooray!

3 weeks from today I will be coming BACK from Disney! I can't wait to go and wish I didn't have to come back,but I'm sure I'll need the rest after we get back!

When are you guys starting to pack? I am waiting to see what the weather is when I go, so I still have a week before I can look at the 10 day forecast. Anyone else start earlier than 10 days, or waited till closer to the time?

We arrive on March 2....since its a surprise b day trip for DD, she doesn't know!! So its getting tougher not to "slip" and say something and to hide my excitement! But I just want to wake her up and say Guess where we are going?! My luck she will say, American Girl Place? HA! **crazymom** DS made a good choice Are you bring "green ears"? I may get some and write DisneyBride03..so if anyone sees me, they wont be too shy to say hi!!! You won't be able to miss us, my mom has flaming red hair...bless her heart...she gets it "done" every week and can't get it wet! lol

I would say "hello" and would like someone to do the same, if they notice "the lime" on me. Although, I've worn the lime green ribbons through 2 long WDW trips and never ran into another DISer except for a pre-arranged meeting with someone.....it's a big place!

We, here on the DIS are the only ones who understand each other's fascination with all things Disney and the planning aspect of a WDW vacation. When I mention the DIS to friends and family I get the impression that they think it's strange. Of course these same people love hearing my "tips" when they are getting ready to go to WDW!

I'm going to our Home Depot this weekend(which kills me cause I'm a big Jimmie Johnson fan(Lowes) , but for the sake of the cause I will go into Home Depot!! If they don't have any lime Mickey's I'll make my own and will put one in my window at the POP next month. If anyone else is there, say hello or leave a note on the door, will be happy to know other disers are there!
I understand how family think it's strange, the only one of us into this besides me is my DD, my DH rolls his eyes as well, but to me it's no different then meeting up with fellow Kenny Chesney fans at his concerts, as my DB says: it's all good!

Yup yup, I found it, already sent it to my email until I get to Walmart a buy more ink Can't seem to keep my oldest DS off the computer at night, he uses up the ink on guitar tabs

I can't wait until next month, I'm getting so ancy, it's driving the DH nuts, wish he could get into Disney the way I do, but he's a home body and can't stand crowds, he basically does it for me. We usually go to the mountains in the spring, but I asked if we could please go back to Disney, the kids voted it in! So next month Mickey here we come!

is anyone else sad that in a month all of our excitment will be over with?? I just relized it today..I'm a teacher and was planning for the week i will be away and got a bit sad that it was going to be over with soon!!!

Oh I always seem to have ATD (after trip depression) & I equate that with ACD (after Christmas depression). So much build up, anticipation, excitement & then its over. The only way to get over that is to 1) take lots of pictures & relive the moments w/ them and 2) plan for the next trip...no matter how far off that may be!

Nothing like shopping at the DisneyStore...and knowing you are on your wau to WDW!!! Was there last Saturday...just bought a few things! There is a new line of clothes...I got myself and daughter matching jean jackets with Mickey and Minnie on the back ! If you're sick...so am I!

I am so jealous! I haven't been in a disney store since i lived in NY! They don't have any in the malls here in Palm Beach. I guess their mentality is "just drive to orlando you lazy sack of bums!" But still, i would enjoy it. So i just go to disneyshopping.com and when i stop in practically every store in WDW, my party understands

I think that is hilarious...I have tried to stay away from the Disney Store so I have some money left for the World. But I was there a few months ago and there was a woman in there with her son. She said - very loudly - "We're only going to look today because we're leaving next week for DISNEYWORLD" as if she wanted everyone there to know that. I thought it was so funny & wondered if I had ever said something like that before a trip to my son.
