Dh is making ours this weekend. The demensions I gave him is 8 inches wide. The wall it hangs on is narrow and I don;t want it to impede traffic flow or Mousekeepers.

I made ours 12 inches, largely because that was the size of the dowel I found at the dollar store. But also because I had found a Mickey applique that I wanted to use, and he just didn't look right on anything smaller!

Thanks, I think I will try to make it 8 inches but it will probably end up being 9 inches. I will post a picture when I am done. Need to go get the interfacing for my pocket. I have everything else I need at home.

fcspiro- Amanda (absybaby) has the master list of cabin numbers and names. Not everyone wanted their names put on the message board. Get in touch with Amanda and she can help you out with the info you are looking for.

Think I have an idea for the pre-teen activity...let me know what you all think of it. I got the book of Hidden Mickey's go to sea. I was thinking of doing a treasure hunt for the hidden mickeys. Maybe split them up into 3 teams (making sure there is at least one on each team that knows the ship well. Given them about 10 hidden mickeys to find and come back to us? Would need prizes? Or is the hunt fun enough? And would it be enough that they say they found it or write a little description of where it was?

Almost packed as of today...but still the FE to sew!

I just ordered that book! It should be here tomorrow or Tuesday! Sounds like a great idea!

I saw a thread where one person was making coupons good for one free Mickey Bar. You could give those out. Free & the kids would probably get a kick out of it.

Great idea! Mickey bars are always wonderful, but I also think that these kids will be so pumped to be on the ship and getting moving that they won't need a prize too.

We have moved the suitcases upstairs and are getting serious about packing. We fly south on Friday, and the weather looks fabulous. DD asked the other day if it was too early to get excited about the cruise. I had to laugh to myself, since I've been ready to go since Christmas!

I like the hidden mickey search idea too! Jeremy is 8 and as long as i know he's with others that know the ship well... it's our first cruise and i really don't know what to expect - but we are all SO ready for this!! i feel disorganized though. i have stuff laying out everywhere so i don't forget to pack it. i should just go ahead and start packing! we're in chicago, so it's not like i need any of our summer clothes now! we're flying out next friday morning and stay at all-star movies for one night. we're hoping to go to MK for a while and EPCOT for extra magic hours! i think getting exhausted will be the only way any of us will sleep that night! LOL

Hey I wanted to give everyone a heads up - I just heard from DisneyCrazy2001 (DH, DW, DS13, DD11) They have had to cancel this cruise and hope to book in the future. I have deleted them from post #6. It will be sad not to meet them.

Wow that was a lot of reading. We'll be sailing with everybody as well. It will be myself, my gf, and my 10 year old son. We've got a balcony room on Deck 7. We are super excited and can't wait!

So am I correct in assuming there is a pirates night where everybody dresses up as pirates? If so I need to make some last minute arrangements.

Hey Tom, no not everybody dresses up - I would say about 25% fully dressed and then another 20-30% with something pirate on.
