In my experience it's best to try to meet the first day, before the drill. Say 3:00, DLounge? That's like the Promenade Lounge on the classic ships, right? This is my first time on the Dream so I'm not too sure of the lounges. On my first cruise we planned to meet on deck by the sailaway party, but it was way too hard to find people. Inside works better. It's great if you have kids too, it helps if they can "make friends" before heading to the clubs that night. I hope to see everyone there, I'm so excited!
Also- a suggestion for FE participants (I'm not doing the FE this time, but I have on all 7 previous cruises): come to the meet! Often one or more families will end up with a cabin change, either buying an upgrade at the port or getting a pixie dust one. This way if there are changes, the organizer can bring a pad of sticky notes and a pen, and everyone can write down the changes. A short cruise like this is way too short to go around putting notes "6511 has moved to 9244" in every FE and hope that everyone sees it. On a cruise last year we moved cabins, and while I put out notes- not everyone saw them. Apparently some people delivered gifts to my original cabin and the new occupants never turned them in to guest services.I feel badly that people worked hard to make stuff and someone else kept it!

Thank you for the suggestion. Okay Disers, we will have a Meet and Greet at 3:00 pm in the D Lounge on Deck 4. This will be a good chance for kids to meet up and if there are any last minute room changes for FE participants I will alert you. We have a small group so it should be manageable.
Sorry I have not been on since my Princess Half-Marathon but I came home to Girl Scout Cookie Sales and other school projects. We are very excited. I hope to wrap up FE gifts this weekend as well as packing.
We have decided to surprise the girls with park passes after the cruise. We figured since we were staying through Sunday at Disney that we might as well get the Florida Wild 3 day pass for the trip. We are not telling them. We will surprise them on Thursday morning when we get on an Animal Kingdom bus instead of a Downtown Disney bus!
I hope everybody is doing well with their preparations. I can't believe we will be sailing in 9 days!!!!!!!!
