March 18, 2007 Wonder

This is the one thing that really bothers me. No, you can't use the pools or the slides. I really like to book my excursions through Disney in case of bad weather and you don't get to dock and whatever else can happen. However, in order to use these pools and slides you have to go outside of Disney. I wonder what a day rate would be? We did the dolphins and loved it in 2004. This past June we did the submarine in Grand Cayman. It was OK but not an excursion I would want to do again. We thought about the stingray excursion until all the stuff that has happened with them in the past few months. The beaches really are OK in Nassau. For right now we are booked on the beach excursion but might change.... Not for sure yet.

:laundy: (This is me today)

Lettie,

What are you doing before the cruise? Right now we have booked a room at Radison but I think I am changing it to Port Orleans and spend the day before at WDW. This will be a suprise for my daughters.

We don't normally book any excursions and being a 4day, I want to enjoy the ship as much as possible so we'll be staying on board. My DH may go ashore to gamble a little. I did reserve bikes for Castaway Cay and have already booked brunch at Palo. I didn't want to miss out on that. Thank goodness for being able to do so much online before you even get on the ship.

We are also planning on staying onboard in Nassau. I booked a massage for myself that day. :cloud9: I might venture on shore to look around, but I doubt it. We reserved the ecotour on Castaway Cay and brunch at Palo.

Oooooh, a spa day...DH gambling...kids in the clubs...that sounds tempting!!!

We're staying at the POP Century the night before.....my kids love this resort so I thought why not...one night. Then after we get off the ship we're staying at PO for three days. Then it's back home......:sad1:

Let's get this thread going!

We're getting excited. :woohoo: The crew will be me, my DH and our DD (4). She gets that we'll be going on a boat with the Disney people, but I don't think she grasps how big the ship really is ;)

We just bought some pirate gear from Target- never to early to start packing stuff away

Who else will be on board??

See ya there-

We just booked for spring break and bringing our DS 9 & 5.
The ship was almost full and had to book a guarantee.
Less than 2 months to go.

What kind of pirate stuff did you get at Target? There's some great stuff at Party City.

Glad to see some fellow cruisers!

At Target, I just picked up a few items in the dollar section- a sword, eye patch and hook, a vest for my DD, and a couple of little playsets. We probably won't go all out, but wanted to participate in the festivities and dress up a little!

Same here. We were glad they gave out the pirate bandanas but after that night we wished he had dressed up a little.

My DS has dressed up each time we've gone. And he said he's going to do it again this year. My dd is going to dress up a little bit but not as much as ds. I know the past times he's dressed up lots of people and kids asked him where he got this costume from. He loved all the attention he got from the characters as well!

Where is everyone? We leave in 1 month 1 week and 1 day? Let's getting this meet started! Show of hands please......

Went to Target to get Pirate supplies but they were all sold out.
I guess we will have to check Party City.

Is everyone getting excited?

I'm going to start buying goodies and preparing this weekend- it's getting close and I can't wait- I'm dreaming about the tropical breezes and fruity drinks!

Is anyone arriving in Orlando or Port early? We're coming in the night of the 17th and staying near the airport. Didn't want to take a chance with plane delays.

This will be the first Disney Cruise (first cruise at all, actually!) for us....It is a birthday cruise for me (also March 15!!). I am dragging along hubby Ron (32):cool2: , son Brendan (7)pirate: , and daughter Savannah (6)princess: . We are doing the Dolphin Excursion in Nassau, but would like to check out a beach afterwards...if anyone has any recommendations...

I know this particular cruise is sold out but I was mildly suprised to see Palo all booked up. I already had dinner reservations, but was hoping to book a brunch...oh well...! Also..UGH..no florida residents rates

only 17 days to go!!!:yay:

Jen

Nenner...
I was also crossing my fingers for those Fla resident rates but no such luck. The 3day before and after our sailing has rates out, but ours is sold out I guess. Too bad, that would have been quite a break!

Looking forward to vacation! See you all there!
