Are those with DDs bringing Princess dress up outfits? My DD wears them on a regular basis- no event needed- so I think she'd enjoy it, but then I have to pack them. Do many kids dress up at the clubs or dinner?

counting down the days :beach:

Yes, we just dropped by the Disney Store this weekend to get a Cinderella dress...they have some really pretty ones right now, Belle, Aurora too. They almost have like a "fairy" look to them, Aurora's has a flower petal skirt, and Cinderella's has a bubble skirt. (Belle was my favorite, but it wasn't my choice- ha!) This will be our first cruise so I don't know how many girls do wear the dresses but I know I have read frequently that they do. We only bought the one,so I think we will save it for "dress up night" but who knows. She might insist on wearing it every night!!

I am so looking forward to seeing all the beautiful little princesses...just 2 weeks!!!!!!!!:beach:

It's almost time! Has anyone started their packing yet? I have so much to do before we leave! I need to make a list to be sure I don't forget anything.

I've started just a little packing, mostly getting the little things in order. have an open suitcase in my room and throw things into it every so often that i don't want to forget. will do most of my packing this weekend.

Almost got a little nervous: contacted my TA regarding my cruise documents that have not arrived yet, but they are on their way via 2day DHL. Whew!

I'm planning on packing and buying this weekend- I know we all need to try on warm weather clothes and see how much damage hibernating this winter did.

I'm so excited- I don't know how I'll function next week at work :rolleyes1

Are you all doing door signs? I'm going to try to do one- I had grand plans in my mind, but alas my hands did not cooperate

Here's to the countdown :cool1:

I'm not making a door sign this year, but I AM putting the Mickey ears that others have put over their room number! I printed them out and now just have to enlarge them. Can't wait to see how they look!
Plus, I did get the Mickey paint chips from Home Depot and will put each of our names on them. Makes it easy for the kids to find the room for sure.

Another cruiser from Tampa, alright!:cool1:

I am going to *try* to make a door sign. It might be kindof lame. I have so much to do, its ridiculous. BUT I am too excited to stress over it!

BTW, has anyone seen the forecast? My hubby fresked me out, he told me he saw 60% chance of rain on Tues (Castaway Cay)....but I just checked and all four days show high 78/79 and low 68/69 with 0% rain on Tues Wed and only 10 % Mon, 20% Sun.....sounds beautiful, let's hope they're right!:woohoo:

Wow that is cutting it too close. We leave Sunday and I got the paperwork the Tuesday before we leave.....
The packing has started!
Sorry but no door sign for us.
I can't wait!
See ya on the ship!

I finally found the pirate costumes at Target so now it is time to pack. The only thing I am dreading right now is the drive. See everyone soon.

I can't wait- it's so close

I've barely started packing and know that Fri and Sat will be crazy- but so worth it!

I'm also going to put up some home depot mickey heads, so look for us!

safe travels to all- I think we're supposed to have snow here Sat- good thing I'm leaving :goodvibes

Pirate *costumes* at Target? Kids or Adults? Where at? We looked on Saturday and couldn't find squat. Not even shirts. My son already has one, as he was Captain Jack for Halloween, but I wasn't sure what I was going to do with my daughter...or us, I love all the pirate group pics I have seen on the white background! Although if I buy any more stuff for this cruise my hubby will make me walk the plank...we've spent more on things we "need" FOR the cruise than we spent on the cruise itself!!!!

OMG!! i think I'm just about done packing....we leave on Thursday! I hope to meet all of you once on the ship! How will I know everyone? What such I look for? or are we going to plan a meeting place?

Hey, all!
Sorry I didn't meet any of you on the ship. I did decorate my door (room 2532) but forgot my lime green Mickey! I did attend the Castaway Club Meet and Greet on Wednesday and when Captain Henry mentioned that he does read the Dis Boards daily there were several of us that gave out a good laugh!

Anyone know why we returned to Nassau in the middle of the night Monday? We heard from a crew member that there was an elderly man who was very sick and needed to get to the hospital. Our prayers went out to that family that everything turned out okay.

Hope you all had as great a time as we did. Kids enjoyed the clubs and stayed most nights till closing. We got to enjoy the entertainment in Wavebands...Ian was hilarious!

Welcome back everyone!

I too am sorry we never got to meet anyone. Met lots of other people from Tampa though, including the family right across the hall from us. And wow, how about that wind???? I about got blown overboard off deck 10!

We did decorate our door also (7539), and it was the only decorated door I saw on the whole ship (apart from the DVC magnets). Of course we never ventured deeply onto decks 2, 6, or 8. I could hear passers-by in the hall commenting on it. They thought it was provided by Disney Cruise Line!!! (I guess that means it looked pretty good!):goodvibes

I never even noticed that we went back to Nassau- we were exhausted and fell asleep early every night (except the last)...in fact by Tues we were so tired the kids fell asleep right after dinner and we missed the Pirate Party. I am sure we will catch it NEXT TIME! The kids didn't spend too much time in the clubs, only while we were at Palo and during our Banana Boat ride:banana: on CC...not that they didn't like it, just were too busy doing stuff with us. We never got to see any entertainment (apart from the main shows), never got to play bingo, didn't get to do any tours...just weren't enough hours in the day. We did spend a good share of our time in Shutters, though....arguing and spending over $600....heh.

I do plan on writing a trip report. It should be pretty good. I have to get my post count over 10 before I start it, though so I can post the pictures! I'll make sure to post a link in this thread too so everyone subscribing here catches it.

Ugh, who else has to go back to work today?????:sad2:

Nenner...
Your post is a true testament to why 4 days is NOT ENOUGH!!

Looking forward to your trip report. will keep my eyes open for it. Meanwhile, you can read "My SuperShort Trip Report" that I posted over at the TR boards. I was just pouting that they made me get off the ship, the meanies!
