Hi all the newbies to the thread!!!

I hope you all are getting all the reservations you wanted. I can't believe they didn't hold back some Palo brunch ressies for this booking window. Hopefully, if you didn't get one on-line you'll be able to get one at the port --- you might want to check on-line periodically to see if there are any cancellations, you might just get lucky.

As far as the princess dresses go --- my girls are older so I've never had to deal with them on a cruise, but I don't really remember seeing a lot of little ones dressed up either. You might consider bringing a couple if you have them (I wouldn't go out and buy them) for maybe formal or semi-formal night, just for fun. All depends on if you are thinking about purchasing the photos on the cruise and what you want them to look like.

SB's Mom --- Thanks so much for the information! You are too sweet! I tried to PM you back but until I get 6 posts I can't. Sorry! I had written a book to you. I will relay the 9-hr trip time and hotel info to my DH and I'm sure it will make his day! DD has 3 princess dresses we got on sale after Halloween so I guess we'll bring them along just in case. GreenTad and Iowa6--I have a DD(11) and a DS(8) too. They would love to have someone to email to before the trip--especially the DD. We are travelling with another family who also has kids the same ages as ours. We are so excited for this trip! It's our second cruise, but our first cruise was just the 3 day. We're looking forward to having an entire week this time!

evebo--got your son's email. My son is out riding dirtbikes with his dad today, but he will be VERY excited when he gets home and finds out he actually has mail! I'll have him write back later today/this evening.

Does anyone have a daughter that would like to email with my daughter? My daughter is 11 and will turn 12 shortly after the cruise. She loves to be on the computer, and she would love to have someone to communicate with.

The weather people are promising that winter is coming to Iowa this week. We've had unusally warm temps so far (40s and 50s). Looks like DS will get to try out his little snowsuits, hats, and mittens. Not looking forward to that. By the time I get him all suited up and in his carseat I'll probably change my mind and we'll just stay home.

GreenTad--we'll just hear from you tomorrow. My mom is having the rest of her thyroid removed tomorrow due to cancer, so if we don't get back to anyone tomorrow, we promise to do it in the next couple of days.

Where is everyone staying Friday night before the cruise? I'm think either Radisson or Country Inns and Suites near the port. Both now have a shuttle and allow you to park at the facility.

Our flight gets in relatively late on Friday night so we're just staying at the Holiday Inn near the airport and then getting Florida Tours transportation to the port the next morning.

We've got reservations at the Radisson Resort at the Port. It will be close to midnight before we get there. I know we will be so ready for some rest after the long drive!

We are staying at the hyatt. And going over in the morning.

Disneypoor, my son Aaron is enjoying emailing with your son. Thank so much. He and I are both are new at this. I hope everything went well with your Mom today. It sounds like you have your hands full. Our prays are with your family.

evebo and Iowa6--my kids are ecstatic about emailing your children! I got home from the hospital tonight (everything went great with my mom today) and my daughter said she actually talked to her email buddy in person on the phone. I asked her which phone?? She said her cell phone. She just got it for Christmas, and I guess we need to go over the rules a bit more. Anyway, I'm glad she is so excited about all of this! My son is happy that he has found a sports lover! Hope everyone is doing well.

We are staying at the Radisson at the port as well. We also won't get in until around 11:30-12:00 that night. Looking forward to it though!

Susan (DisneyPoor)--Glad everything went well with your mom. I sent you an e-mail with my daughter's e-mail address and about the group website.

We are flying down on Wednesday the 14th and staying at the Beach Club. Saturday after we disembark we are touring the Space Center then staying at the airport Hyatt and flying out Sunday morning.

Dutch Girl Scout--I didn't get your email. Can you send me another one? My daughter is having a lot of fun emailing friends for this cruise. She'd be happy to email your daughter too.

My mom is doing great! She is actually doing better this time than she did for her surgery in December. She will get to come home tomorrow as long as her calcium levels stay where they are supposed to be. Then, we'll do radiation and hopefully be done. She caught the cancer VERY early and completely by accident, so we have been very blessed and lucky.

I wish we could head to Florida a little early to catch some park time, but since I'm a teacher, I can't really leave early. I'm just thankful to be getting to go on this cruise. This is really a dream of mine, and I'm so happy that we get to do it. Take care everyone! It sounds like the Kansas City area is going to possibly get hit with a lot of ice by Friday. Maybe I'll get to stay home and get some DIS time!
