March 17, 2007 7 Day Eastern

Patty--I think I'm going to try for Monday for brunch and if that doesn't work I'm going for Thursday. I don't want to do it first thing on Sunday just because I want to get reoriented with the ship again with the kids. :thumbsup2 I'm getting so excited about this trip! We're almost down to the 2 months and so many weeks point on our tickers!

Where is everyone? Did anyone else stay up way too late to get Palo reservations? I did, and I'm paying for it today! My kids have their church program at 2:00 today, and I hope I can stay awake for it. :confused3 Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

We forgot about working on reservations until this afternoon. We booked Palo for brunch and dinner. . .parasailing at CC. . .2 Island Flag tour on St Maarten. . .still trying to decide on St Thomas/St John.

Have a great week.

Happy Monday everyone!
Everyone getting ready for the holidays? Those of you that have been able to make reservations, let us know what you were able to get. If there is anything left on Jan. 1 when we are able to book, I think I'll try for Monday brunch and Thursday dinner. We'll see what happens.
I'm so excited that we are at the under 3 month count now. That just seems crazy!

I was able to book Monday dinner and Thursday brunch. We also booked for St. John snorkeling and are unsure if we'll do a DCL excursion to one of the beaches at St. Martin or just try it on our own. Have a good week everyone.

I was up at 2:00 am Sunday to book our excursions. We booked St. John Trunk Bay and Snorkel Tour (is this what you booked Disneypoor?), Palo's brunch on Thursday @11:00, Castaway Cay Bottom Fishing (for my DH --- the whole reason I got up at 1:50 am, this excursion is very limited only about 5 or 6 slots each time, and just two times, am I a good wife or what!) I also booked parasailing for me and my DD16 on Castaway Cay - a first for both of us!

Good luck everyone on your excursions/Palos reservations!!!!

Now that all that's taken care of I can fill out the online paperwork and concentrate on Christmas!!!!

Patty. . .what time are you parasailing? We requested 10:30 . . .it would be great to be together!

We chose brunch at Palo's for Sunday at 10:30. I forgot which night time we booked.

Charlene

Patty-we booked the same snorkeling excursion as you did. I also got up at 2:00 a.m. My husband thought I was nuts! We all parasailed when we cruised in June, and it was awesome! We would do it again in a heartbeat, but we're trying other things this time. Who knows--with my husband, we might end up booking it again last minute if there are any times left. He just thought it was the best thing he'd ever done. My kids loved it too! :thumbsup2

Hi all!
I didn't get up early on Sunday, I got online about 7:00AM. I got Palo brunch for Monday @ 10:30 (I haven't heard anything back on the group reservation), and Palo dinner on Monday and Thursday @ 8:00 (we have two staterooms). I went on tonight to see if I could reserve a brunch for Thursday and the only brunches left to choose from were Sunday and Monday. The only other things I reserved were the teen excursion on CC and the Jet Ski tour on CC. I had reserved a double jet ski for my DH and by the time I retrieved my reservation and went to reserve the jet ski, the only option left was a single, which is fine because DS will be on the teen thing so we will only have DD.

I can't beleive the cruise is less than 3 months away. I think it's time to get excited!

Charlene - we are parasailing at 1:30 --- it would've been fun to go together. We had to choose an afternoon time because my DH is going on the fishing excursion and I didn't want to leave my DD13 alone, although she'll probably be busy doing stuff with her friends.

Disneypoor - We'll have lots of fun on the St. John excursion --- you're going to love Trunk Bay!!

 Finally went ahead and made our final payment! :cool1: :cool1:

I've booked Brunch (Palo's) Monday (for DW & I, and my parents), and High Tea later the same afternoon for DW ::MinnieMo and My Mother (aka Grandma Dorothy) She loves her tea! :rotfl2:

Have also booked the Island Drive & Explorer Cruise (St. Marten) and St. Thomas Island Tour (St. Thomas) for our group, although am seriously thinking about booking much the same through an independant operator, and cancelling the DCL ones.

Stacie: Great job with the website! :thanks: If you want to update; it will be my parents joining us: they are known as Grandpa Pete & Grandma Dorothy.

I've now gone into full planning mode! :moped: so lookout all! Mind you, I think I've just about gotten everything sorted. :disrocks:

It won't be long now! party:

Can't wait to meet you all!

Patty. . .parasailing is so much fun. We (dh and myself) tried it on our 1st Disney cruise and then we went again in June and allowed DD to join us. DD has to go tandem with one of us.

We now have an additional Palo's Brunch on Monday :cool1:

When I booked on-line Sunday morning I didn't see where I could make a ressie for more than 1-2 people for Palo's so I booked two reservations --- one for each stateroom so our friends could join us. Then my DH tells me that wants to go twice if we can, so I wanted to make another one in case our group reservation didn't work out. I thought I could just call and have them change one of my ressies to 4 then cancel and rebook another one for Monday. It's a little more complicated than that since they've gone to the online thing ---- seems like they can't see anymore than we can and I had to do it all online. Anyway I had to totally cancel one and then rebook for Thursday to get 4. At least they were able to see a reservation available for 4 that I couldn't see because I already had one, but they couldn't grab it for me before I cancelled the other one. I was a little nervous but I got Thursday for the same time for 4 and was able to get us another one for 2 at 10:30 on Monday!  I ended up with a supervisor on the phone to help me but she was very friendly and was fairly confident if something really messed up and I was left with no reservation she could fix that. Okay, now I think we're all set!!!!

Stacie -- do you want us to just send you our shore excursion info or are you trying to just compile it from posts?? I know you've got to be really busy with Christmas coming up and the baby (he is adorable!)

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Ours was good but kindof eventful. My daughter had to go in to get a tooth pulled at 9:15 Christmas Eve night. Those sorts of things always seem to happen to us.:confused3 I'm just glad we have such a great dentist! Then, I got back home and got ready to get the kids' stockings out so I could fill them when they fell asleep and realized that I must have accidentally thrown away my daughter's stocking when we had a family get together earlier that day.:sad2: :sad2: Then, as if things weren't already going bad enough, I went to get out the KU tickets that I had bought way back in July for my "santa" gifts for our kids and realized that although I ordered tickets for the December 28th game, they had sent me tickets for the December 23rd game. That was definitely the straw that broke my back! I cried and cried and then got a migraine! I sure hope the rest of our break is nice and quiet!:rotfl2: Have a great week!

Hey Nala9824!

I know you're reading these so thought I should finally post.

I can't wait to wear our family t-shirts! Go GREEN! GLOW ON!

It's beginning to feel like those staterooms belong to us.

We are also from the midwest - Kansas City area. It will be me, husband, and son, age 11. Nala will be joining us from the east coast and also my parents, as per usual. Cruise no. 5.

Looking forward to spending some quality relaxing time on deck 9 (ahhh, sleeping with a book on my lap!) and in Diversions. Bring the waterproof playing cards this year!

See everyone on board.

Happy Thursday everyone!
We broke down and told the kids about the cruise at Christmas. My mother typed up clues with gifts attached. There were 5 total. My son had it guessed by clue #2. The look on my mom's face was priceless when he guessed it with 3 clues to go. They are excited. We watched the planning DVD to cap things off.

Does anyone know of any independent excursion companies? We definitely want beach days for both St. Thomas and St. Maarten but are kind of hesitant to do it on our own because of having kids with us. The excursions on the Disney web site aren't really what we are looking for.

Any help is appreciated!!

Season Greeting to All!

It is good to hear that everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Ours was good. Stacy enjoyed all her gifts from Santa, us and family!

Our biggest present was a new car. We purchased a Sonata Limited on Tuesday after Christmas. Paul's car was 16 years old and beginning to give us problems. He only was driving it from home to work (about 6 miles each way) but we decided it was time! I get the new car and he gets the family Honda. Stacy cried when we turned over Paul's car to the dealership. She loves that little red car.

Now my attention is turned for the cruise. It will be here before we know it! My sister and her husband are taking their 1st cruise this weekend. (not on Disney) I hope they enjoy cruising as much as we do.

Have a great week!
