Have you cruised with Disney? If we can answer any questions let us know!

Hi everyone! Sorry I have been missing lately, things are crazy as usual. But we just booked our airfare today! Whee!

I didn't get my cruise docs just yet, but I transferred my reservations over to Small World Vacations so I could get the credit, and she said she was waiting to send them to me because the 2007 information sheets had just been printed. I DID get my receipt for having it paid in full though!

Just a quick note that we're home. All is well & great, we're definately keeping him!!

Talk later.

Hi Ya'll
Just found this thread... We wil be cruising (4 of us) on the Eastern also. I saw something that said to sign up but I didn't see where there was a place to sign up. Could you point me in the right direction to meet fellow ship-mates?
Thanks

Stacie - He is beautiful....if it's OK to say that about a boy!? Lots to be thankful for this year certainly. I hope you and Baby Andrew are feeling well.

6powaydisneyfans and nana b - welcome to the Spring Break thread.

I am going on my first Disney Cruise with my Nephew (9 1/2) and niece (8).

nana b - look on Jenbrems very first post and Stacie had her put the information about the website - you can start there - we are looking forward to all getting together at some point on board and just let Stacie know if you want in on the Palo brunch on Sunday. Speaking of which - Stacie I owe you our pictures and other info - it's just been so nutty around here. Did I tell you that I want to be included in the Palo brunch also? If not - count me in!

I somehow inherited the task of being in charge of Thanksgiving this year! It's our first year without my Mom and with my Dad also being pretty ill - we weren't sure what he would be up for. Well, turns out, he wants things to be celebrated at his house as always. I have pretty much moved in with him for the duration of his illness, so I am sifting through all the family recipes and getting the last minute grocery shopping done this weekend. Wish me luck. We are also expecting (in addition to my brothers family and my sisters family) several cousins from in town, and from Colorado and Indiana! Whew!

I promise to touch base this week before next weekend gets crazy!

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone! Welcome to the new ones that are going to be on the cruise! It's getting closer and closer. We are getting ready to walk out the door in about a half hour to take a big family trip to Disneyland. :cool1: No turkey for us this year, but I think it will be worth it! :goodvibes Have a great holiday week!

Maureen--My thoughts and prayers are with you. It sounds like the holiday will be bittersweet for your family.

Disneypoor--Have a great trip to Disneyland. I think I'd pick DL over turkey too.

:welcome: to nana_b and 6powadisneyfans. Hopefully we'll have a good size group together before March. Info for the website is in the first post of this thread. Once you send me your information, I will send you the site address.

Andy is doing great. He seems like a very content baby. He's only up for a couple feedings at night, eats for a half-hour at a time and goes back to sleep. Took him to part of the kids' swim meet today and he was awake for half and slept for half.

Bump
We were on the 3rd page!!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend. It was hard to get back in the swing of things today. Did everyone get some shopping done over the weekend? I avoided the mall like the plague.

Hi, everyone! We had a fabulous time at Disneyland! The weather could not have been better! It was 87 degrees for our first day there. It stayed between 77 and 87 and was just right! The crowds weren't too bad either. We were able to ride all of the rides and do our favorites multiple times.

I'm really looking forward to this cruise! We went to Disneyland with my husband's family, so it will be nice to travel with just "us". Disneyland was great, but we're ready to just have it be the four of us. Our last three vacations have involved other people, so we are due for some alone time. :grouphug:

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! It took us three hours to go 30 miles in California! I was sure appreciating Kansas City's traffic jams after experiencing one in CA! :teeth:

Hi Everyone!

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving ---- we sure did, but we were really busy all weekend. We did all the Kansas City Christmas lightings so we're in the holiday mood. Went and cut down the tree, decorated it and then watched it fall down yesterday!!! :confused3 Lots of fun at our house. We got a new stand so hopefully everything should be good --- we'll see tonight when I start redecorating it! Probably putting all the lights on one side was a bad idea --- guess I'll have to do the whole tree this time. It's really a big tree!!!

Disneypoor --- sounds like you had a good time. Are you getting ready for the big storm we probably won't have (hopefully)? After 60's & 70's here all weekend it's going to be a shock to have highs in the 20's.

We still haven't receive any cruise stuff yet --- I need to call them anyway.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Patty--I'm not holding my breath on the winter storm! I just don't see how it can be almost 70 one day and then have a bunch of wintery mix the next. :confused3 I guess it could happen, but I'm sure not counting on it. My 23 students will be all wired up tomorrow for sure! When the weather changes, they are wild! :rotfl:

Hey all! Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, still trying to get adjusted to everything. Andy is a REALLY good baby. My other two are keeping things interesting though, not to mention my dog. Snickers was my baby, she is a two-year-old beagle/heeler mix. She didn't eat while I was in the hospital and ended up getting a bladder and bowel infection. She started vomitting last week and acting really strange. The vet thought she had an obstruciton and ended up doing surgery on her and found nothing. We now think it is all stress related. She's on medication and canned food and starting to act more like herself.

You guys in Kansas can keep the winter weather. I'm not ready for snow and cold.

DisneyPoor--glad you had a good time at DL. We're looking forward to some good family time on the cruise too!

I hope everyone is staying warm!!!! All this cold, ice & snow really makes a cruise sound good --- I think I'm about done with winter already!

Disneypoor -- Did you get a lot of snow? We are on the right side of town and barely got any, but my kids were still out of school for two days. I guess because of the ice and cold on Thursday and then ice, snow and cold for Friday.

TiaMaria --- I'm thinking about you in St. Louis and hope you are staying warm. I heard that there were lots of power outages in that area.

I've been looking at trip insurance, have to get that ordered then I guess we can make our final payment so we'll be able to make reservations. I talked to my TA yesterday --- he recieved our cruise and will be sending to on to us. Looking forward to having something "warm" to look at!

Have a great weekend!!!!

Hello from icy, cold St. Louis! March 17th can't get here quickly enough. They predicted sleet for Thursday night-Friday morning and 8-10 inches of snow ending this afternoon. Well, we got about 2-3 inches of sleet and freezing rain starting early yesterday morning and ending very very late last night and about 2-3 inches of snow on top of that overnight. :guilty:

Patty - you were right - LOTS of power outages but thankfully, no one in my family is out as of right now. They are predicting windy weather overnight- which could bring more branches. My Dad has 2 large trees in his backyard that fell down a hill from common ground and somehow missed his trees and house. Lots of branches down all around - but no real damage otherwise. Notice how there is never a power outage when it's 65-70? There were lots of outages in STL in July when it was 95-100 and now this when it's in the 20's. :sad2:

Needless to say, the kids all love it - not too cold for them!

I had taken Thursday and today off - requested them several weeks ago - who would have thought that this weather would set in? I am so glad I did not have to fight driving home from downtown last night and back this morning. Of course - the worst of the storm is always during rush hour, isn't it?

Thanksgiving was unbelievable - 74 degrees - we were out in the backyard most of the afternoon.

Jen - I too avoided malls last weekend. In fact, I won't do malls at all between Thanksgiving and Christmas on a weekend. Any shopping I need, I go right after work when everyone else is home eating. Then I hightail it home about 700-7:30 when they all show up!

Stacie - sorry to hear about your dog. Hope all is well. People who never had a pet don't understand just how very much part of the family they really are!

Well, I am ready for another mug of hot cocoa! My sister and her 2 kids and I spent an enjoyable afternoon at Barnes & Noble, reading and enjoying hot chocolate and lunch in their cafe. I am looking quite forward to the tropics though!

Hi all!

Hope you are all keeping warm. We escaped with no bad weather. It is cold though, low of 8 tonight. The fireplace feels really good.

Maureen--Thanks for asking about the dog. She is back to her old naughty self. I think it was stress related, bringing home the baby must have been too much for her. I knew she was feeling better when she chewed a leg off of one of baby's stuffed animals.

DW4US--Access America has a family trip insurance plan where you don't have to pay for the kids. I believe they are the same carrier DCL uses. You can get a quote on their website. They even let us move the coverage when we had to change cruises.

Hi everyone. It's crazy how Iowa missed the horrible weather last week. Both north and south of us were slammed. It was bitterly cold however. March can't get here fast enough.

We made our final payment this weekend and purchased insurance. We went through www.insuremytrip.com The policy we purchased was the Travelite Coverage I think. For 7 of us it was $400.
