March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

Sonya,

That sounds about right from when we started planning this. I have seen a few more posts of newer folks on the meet board mention that they were going to do Los Veranos. But, they were not within this group planning to meet.

I am all for meeting up before leaving the ship and trying to get a tender together. We will have plenty of time since it is not first thing in the morning. Could they also put "Sonya's Group" on the sign?

Thanks again for getting this together.

Meredith
Yes, good idea. I will email her again with that.

Guess it doesn't help that I posted my name on an open forum.
:rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl2:

Oh, and we do not need to tender in PV. We could meet just off the ship, right at the walkway, or before we leave on deck one. We can decide what works for everyone.

Also, it is not a tender port. Getting confused. Okay, need to finish reading posts before I reply.

Meredith

getting confused... Can I get to the port earlier than our time we reserved online booking? DD birthday is March 1st and we got her an Alice dress for the tea party. So i have been doing some research and others have reported this to be booked up within the first hour. We have been talking and talking about this and want to make sure we get the coveted tickets. Can we arrive earlier than our time? With that said, I PLAN on getting boarding ticket #2!!! Regardess, we are now going to go to the port at 9:30am and try to check in as soon as they open.:rolleyes1

Mindy,

I think because this is a new thing Disney is doing, and not everyone checks in online....you should be OK. JMHO.

I doubt they will be turning anyone away.
Let's hope someone reports back for the next few cruises before ours.

Ok, Esmeralda emailed me back and said she has a list of our names (attached to our reservations) and that is who they will be picking up.

Sounds good to me. We need to meet at 10:45 just outside the terminal, so maybe could meet up at 10:30 or so on deck one and head out together.
What does everyone think?

Really looking forward to this excursion!

I just totally cancelled all of my dcl excursions I had booked... the $$$ was starting to worry me! I think we are going to join a lot of you at the Crown Paradise Club in Puerto Vallarta, and I booked a less expensive excursion through dcl for day 3 in Cabo, the Harbor tour with scenic stop. This will save us a TON of $$$... We are getting so close!!! We are ready.... all the FE gifts got finished tonight, and are packed in a suitcase :) I hope everyone likes them!!!

Hi everyone!

I figured I should hop on this discussion now, since we're under 30 days before departure. YAY!! :yay: This thread has been so informative- thanks to all the contributors.

We are a family of 4 (Me, DH, DD-age 6, DS- age 4), heading to LA for our second DCL cruise and our fifth cruise total. The grandparents are joining us for their 1st Disney cruise. We're "Mickey Cruisers" because after our first Disney cruise last March, my son (3 at the time) talked non-stop about "Mickey's cruise" ...until July! :)

Bought some pirate gear and St. Paddy's day stuff at a party store last night-the kids are getting so excited (although still not excited as mom!).

Looking forward to escaping the snow and cold!

Sorry about no one responding to your post, everyone seems very busy preparing for this cruise.
We will be traveling with DD and family which includes a grandson age 5 and his sister age 7, which puts them close to your kids ages. We live in the southern California area and we are less than an hour from where the ship docks.
Looks like our turn for in-climate weather, rain starting tomorrow through Sat. Weatherman says possible snow levels could get down to 2000 ft. level.

Welcome aboard, no pun intended.

Mark.

Just a note for all the Zonies:

Don't forget that March 13 is "Spring Forward" daylight savings. California time and our time will be the same as of 2 am. This could affect your driving plans.

HI Sonya,
Remember me? We have added on to your group. Hoping Esmerelda has ours names attached to your group. (Mullen family with 4)
Thanks!

Yeah, on the Crown Paradise Club in PV! That's where we'll be! :cool1::cool1:

I canceled (or in one case DCL dropped the excursion) all my DCL excursions.

Short Cabo day we are just going for an hour beach Horseback ride.

Long Cabo day we are doing an external Pirate Whale Watching excursion. Little worried about battling the tender lines to make the Meet time tough.

Much, much cheaper than through Disney going this route.

Thanks, for your work on FE! We're in your FE group and will reap the benefits of your hard work!!:)

Thanks!

Oh yes, that's right. Were you the reservation that wasn't booked yet?

Just call or email her to confirm.
That's 28 people now.

We canceled one excursion through DCL. We are no longer doing the Harbor cruise & scenic stop on day one. We have two other excursions that are rather pricey booked at the other two stops. I just feel better knowing that I am on a DCL excursion. I am a worrier. It gives me peace of mind. I guess that is worth the price to me.

It is starting to feel like spring here. Makes me ready for our trip.

Have a great day!!

Denise....did you get your docs yet? You should have your package from me today or tomorrow!!

We are starting to feel like Spring too. I was out looking at the flower beds yesterday now that all the snow is melting and noticed I have some green tips from my daffodils popping up. I just hope they do not bloom too early because we will probably have another cold snap.

Hey Hopelea, we are like you, we book our excursions through DCL for peace of mind more than anything! For all three ports our excursions add up to $362which is reasonable for us...mind you, we are only a family of 3...if we had a much larger group it would definitely be on the pricey side.

We're on that excursion for the 2nd Cabo stop but it starts @ 6:45 and we get there at 7:15. Has something changed? I was going to cancel.

Hope, still on cruise documents.....anyone else not receive their documents yet?

Thanks for the warm welcome!!

Just a question about checking in on the 13th at the port in San Pedro. I read on another board about how it isn't necessary to stand in that long line to register the kids in the Oceaneers Club. Obviously, my kids are pre-registered, but what's the trick (is there one?!!) to avoiding this line? Any insight would be appreciated.

Also, I'm on the Harbor Cruise & Scenic stop tour for Cabo #2. What's the deal with the 6:45 am start?! I'm tempted to cancel- that is CRAZY early! I'm just wondering whether the time changes impact this (and makes it more reasonable). I suspect that we are going to be very confused about time the whole trip, coming from EST zone. :confused3

My kids were starting to pack their little suitcases this morning- mostly toys of course! So cute!
