March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

Dramamama....that is what we have to say also. We can't, Sara has rehearsal....They have rehearsal's Mon., Tues., Thurs & Saturdays. She will be missing three due to the cruise. She can not miss anymore. She LOVES the theatre. We will be looking for you!! She has been in "Oliver!", "Little Shop of Horrors" (my favorite, I love the dentist...he was amazing!), she helped with set design & construction with "Arsenic & Old Lace" and now onto "The Wizard of Oz". She is being groomed for a theatre scholarship at this college right now.

Dicecatt...my 14 year old wanted to do the teen surfin' safari in Cabo. I am too nervous to let her do that on her own... SHARKS! She is really mad because she wants to go, but instead I am making her hang out with us!!

I'm nervous too, but I think I might let her do it, gasp. However, she is 16 1/2...if she was 14, I don't think I would either.

My 14.5 year old Sara, has NO FEAR!! She swears she is old enough for everything. Doesn't understand why she has to sleep. She can go on no sleep. On our first cruise she was so cute, probably about 6, she went non stop all day and night. On semi-formal night she was sitting at the dinner table with us and she fell asleep in her Minnie Mouse dress. She goes and goes until she drops, always has and always will. Gotta love her :)

I really can't wait to meet everyone!! And I can't wait to see DENISE again!!!

That is the way my 12 year old girl is...she is like the energizer bunny. She is 12 and barely wears a size 8...she is teeny, and crazy. Never sleeps!

MY soon to be 15year old is going on this excursion.
I am nervous...but it will be an amazing experience for him. And Disney will not take them out if there is any fear or warning of sharks. Because it is through Disney, I do feel a bit more comfortable.

Did you notice they have two time slots now?
I signed him up on the later one at 8:30.
6:45 am was really really early.

We are in the yellow group (not your group). Thanks for the input. We can't wait!!!

we are doing one gift for the whole cabin and a separate little thing for each of the kiddos in the cabin.

Do you know yet which list you are on? Erin split it into 2 lists because there were too many cabins.

You should be able to PM now. You have to have 10 posts.

We are not sure on Cabo either. I was thinking some beach time, but now we have 2 days. Hmmm. In PV we are doing a swim with the Sea Lions at Aquaventuras.

I'm not quite sure what to do about Cabo. And now Cabo twice;). I think I'll let my 16 year old go with some others ziplining, but I have decided I'm not all that excited to leave my 5 year old onboard so I can take the 12 year olds ziplining. We do that in Nassau but I'm not really comfortable doing it in Cabo, without my husband at that...so...

Not sure what to do. He isn't excited about us doing any type of boat excursion, thinks I'll be too distracted (NOT). We are already doing a whale watching in Puerta Vallarta and that is on a boat, lol. I am not going to just make my way to a beach, that is for sure. So....sigh. I'm no closer in my decision than I was months ago.

We are also going to Aquaventuras (dolphin swim) and I believe the Pederson family is going as well. do you want to meet up that morning and we can caravan over in taxis? Safety in numbers is my feeling! We are already planning on meeting the Perderson family.

I had my two teens signed up for this, but I just canceled it yesterday. The younger one didn't really want to do it and so my older one said he wouldn't either. I keep debating whether I should sign him up again, I'm sure he would love it.

Our Aidan is also a budding actor. He is in a production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat here in our community theatre. Being a mere 6 years old, he is the youngest cast member in the play! He has quite a personality! The show opens this weekend and runs for 3 weeks. It wraps at the end of February, just in time to head off on the cruise.

My DD, Kenna, is also a "drama" fan...afterall, she is a girl in middle school!! :rotfl2:!!

Just kidding...she was in a production of High School Musical and she played Taylor McKessie and then she was Violet's mom in Willy Wonka. She just loves anything that has to do with being on a stage!

That sounds great. We have a 10am scheduled time slot. Not sure what time your dolophin swim is for, so we want to try and leave early enough to be there by 10am. The guy at Aquaventuras said it is about a $20-25 cab ride, but I forgot to ask how far. :hippie:

If you take a taxi that is inside the port (I think they are yellow) then yes it will be that much. If you walk just outside of the port and get one there (I think they are white) it should run about $12-15. Also coming back should only be $12-15. It takes about 20minutes to get there. Here is a map that will show you where Aquaventuras is and the port. I found this on the boards..

Here is a map to show you where/how you travel - http://www.vallarta-info.com/marina.html The port is at the bottom, you will travel north on the major highway to the next map up. Aquaventuras is just east of the OXXO station at the first Nuevo Vallarta exit.

We do not swim until 1:45 and the park does not open until 11am so we were planning on leaving around 10am. So we will have to figure it out.

Perderson Family....what time were you planning on heading over??

I might be wrong about the colors of the taxis...I found this on the boards..

Yellow city taxis, found just outside the port property, charge a flat fee for a taxi ride with up to four passengers. The fee is determined on a zone basis.

The federal taxis, found inside the port property, charge per person.

Outside you will pay a flat fee of $12-15 for 4 people and you should negotiate this before you get in the taxi.

Inside you will pay $7 per person and you cannot negotiate.

Awesome information....thanks. The park opens at 10am (just fyi) you may not want to get there that early. THere will be 6 of us (with my Mom).

Are you doing anything fun in Cabo? We were just going to hit a beach for awhile but now we have 2 days there not sure if there is anything inexpensive but fun to do. Thought we may find a beach again and rent a jet ski. I tried looking into Bucaneer pirate ship but their website does not list prices.

:cool1:

I was told they opened at 11am when I made the reservation for the dolphin swim, but I do see that their website says 10am. We also have to plan that the ship time is one hour behind local time. So if we leave the ship at say 8am it is already 9am in PV. I really wanted to eat a good breakfast in the morning and then head out. So will have to give the time we are going to leave the ship some more thought. Since you have 6 in your party you might see about taking a van outside of the port that will fit all of you. It might be cheaper than taking 2 taxis. I would check both ways once you get there. If you are not nervous about getting one outside of the port it will really save you money since you have 6 people.

In Cabo the first day we are going to head over to our friend's resort (their family will be already be there on a land based vacation)on Medano Beach and hang out with them for the day. The second day we booked the beach, buggy, and swim thru DCL.

I see your daughter will be turning 11 on the ship..I also have an 11 year old daughter.

We will have more than a LGMH on our door :lmao: We have a ton of things for our door!!!

So excited..heard from our travel agent today that our Docs showed up today. They will be FexEx tomorrow to me at my office, I guess I will be stalking the FexEx man on Friday and not much work will be done till he shows up. Our DD has been down with Strep so this vacation can't come fast enough, this is the second time in 2-1/2 weeks. Come on cruise we are so ready to swim with the dolphins in Cabo on the second day.
