She docked at 6:10am local time.

I wonder if this is going to be the travel time from Cabo. Leave at 2:45ish on Friday and make it to LA about 6:00am on Sunday.

Wow when you say 4 weeks it really sounds closer then my 44 days. So can anyone tell me:

1. When you get on the ship the first day is the forst picture with characters or is it a green screen? (we've been on RC and they have done the green screen, just wondering what past DL have had) We are hoping it's with Mickey.

2. Pirate night: Can you wear shorts and be allowed in the dining room?

Started pulling clothes out and getting everything printed out for the travel wallet, Feb better go fast...... Kathy :yay:

I think our official count is now 41 days  :woohoo:

On our previous cruise the first picture is not with characters as you are boarding the ship. In Port Canaveral, they have characters around before you board to take pictures with. I don't know about the LA port yet. Maybe we will find out when people start returning.

Pirate night...shorts? It is casual. I don't think I would wear shorts. But, people do and they are not turned away. With that said, Pirate night might be the night my DH does wear his nice golf shorts to dinner. But, people will say that in the naviagators it does say, "no shorts in the dinning room". I am pretty sure that the only place that you would be turned away with shorts on is PALO.

The first pic that is taken is for your KTTW card. For ID purposes.
Then when you pass through the gangway, after showing your ID, you can have a group shot taken. Background we have had is a yellow map , with Mickey and the ports of call added in the frame. I think it's really nice.

In Port Canaveral, Disney characters were in the check in area, available for snap shots. Not sure what they will do in LA.

Pirate costumes vary , so shorts....I'm not sure. If they are to the knee, like a cutoff jean, then I have seen a lot of that. They ask that shorts not be worn in the dining room. Does everyone follow the rules? No, that's really up to you.
I have yet to see someone be asked to leave because they have shorts on.

Ha! I was typing as you posted! Glad we share the same views!

Thanks everyone for the advice. DH is working on his costume and he was asking me, I was in the same boat of burmuda shorts would probaly be OK for that night so we will see what he comes up with. Didn't know how strict DL is, I know how strict RC is. Thanks again everyone! Kathy

Just got off the phone with friends that just boarded the Wonder for this week's cruise. She happen to mentioned no in costumed characters in the terminal or yet to see any on the ship. They are impressed with the rooms, and so far the eats popcorn:: are good.

Mark.

I'm home now from the Dream, working on the list. I'm cutting the FE off at 12 cabins, so plan accordingly...I'll try to get the list out today or tonight!

Welcome Back..Hope you had a magical Dream Cruise. I did wonder on the FE exchange will it say what kids are in the cabin? Since I only have to do 12 cabins I would like to do something for each of the kiddos in the room. If we could have their names that would be awesome so I can make something personal. Thank you so much for doing this!! :worship:

Also, can you please PM me Ashley's email address so Kenna can send her an email. I really think they should get to know each other because they have tons in common. We have our cheer competition for her middle school tomrorow. She is going up 20 foot to a toe touch basket toss and I am so nervous that she will splat the ground. As a fellow cheer mom I know you can understand!! :scared1:

Arizona Meet and Greet at Dave and Busters!!
Friday, February 4th 6pm
So far I have Mindy, DramaMama, JDBlair, CopaDave (maybe), and us as going to the meet and greet. Anyone else?? Are all of those that said they were coming still able to make it? I am going to call Dave and Busters and I want to get a final count.

The excursions for Tuesday in Cabo are up today.....

Just booked the kayak/lovers beach/arches tour.

Hoping to hear back from some other cruisers on how the waters are....rough, or cold, warm.....hoping the kids will enjoy this more then just a boat ride / harbor tour.

It's weird though, because it says we dock at 11:15 pm in Cabo , but the excursion is 10:45 to 2pm. The excursion is suppose to be 3 -3 1/2 hours. I hope they are not counting the half hour of waiting to dock and /or tendering as part of the excursion......

Happy planning!

Hey Scott, I am a little nervous about this excursion. I hate being away from the ship for so long. I am a worrier!! Actually, my oldest dd picked this excursion. She thinks there will be something for everyone. Looking forward to it!! Heading to the DCL website to see what the 1st stop at Cabo's excursions are!!

I am anxiously waiting to hear reports from the first cruise. I will change our times if need be once we know for sure but wanted to get something booked.

Meredith

Well looks like we are now switched to the 11:15 also. We will have a big group heading out at the 11:15. Our party has 10 going ziplining, how about you guys?

Here in Missouri, we are supposed to be getting 12-16 inches of snow and some ice. I sure hope when we cruise it is HOT!

Yea! We will be the small group with only 4.

We are expecting about 12 inches here in Oklahoma as well. I told the kids when they went to school today to enjoy as it will probably be their only day this week. We are supposed to stay below freezing until Friday when it gets to 34. Actual temperature is going to be -4 Wednesday morning and who knows with wind chill. We are supposed to have winds up to 20mph. :scared1: I am looking forward to warmth as well!

No snow here for us, thank goodness. It was around 60 today. Temp is suppose to drop tomorrow. The Farmers Almanac says that on Feb. 13 we are suppose to have the biggest snow we have ever seen. I will believe that when I see it :)

I looked at the excursions for the first stop in Cabo. Nothing seems to interest me. We have Palo Brunch at 11:30. I think we will keep that, then take our time getting to the tender and stroll through the town.
