March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

Just checked and we'll be in port with the Mariner of the Seas (unless they've already pulled out??) on the 15th in Cabo and I think a Carnival line on the 18th...there may be competition for excursions, so I would book as soon as you can...before word gets out! :)

Tara

Mariner is gone. She left for her last MR cruise this past Sunday. She's on her way to the Med.

Everyone who is worried about brunch reservations, DCL is telling people that they will be moving them to the new sea day (Old Mazatlan stop), since they don't do Palo Brunch while in port.

Since this is such a immediate thing, I imagine DCL is shifting cruises on a departure date basis right now. If you leave Sunday, you are Priority 1 for them, and then next week, etc. I'm sure we will have detailed info within a few days, since I understand they are still negotiating with excursion providers in Cabo for the extra day.

And, the port schedule is not the same for each cruise. I imagine that has a lot to do with what other ships are going to be there on those days. Should be fun!

Now I have to hit up Jordak and Milliepie for new graphics! Ugh. :rotfl:

I have requested a change from Jordak for this graphic:

And have to change two more:

As soon as I get, or find, updates, I'll post them for anyone who using similar graphics.

I just checked my reservation, and the Itinerary is indeed changed.

Also gives the event days. According to the OP, Day 3 is Formal Night, Day 4 is Pirate night and Day 6 is Semi formal

:cool1::thumbsup2

Day 2 is formal night. That is the info I received for our cruise. That would be Monday night for us.

I believe the op who posted day 3 was formal night was on the cruise that has two sea days back to back and two Cabo days back to back.

I believe formal night is often on sea days correct?

Interesting. I justv talked to DCL and they still show Formal Night on Day 3. It may not have caught up with the changes yet.

It was always Day 2. See post 328.

I'm not arguing.

I'm just relaying what a DCL representative told me on the phone at 7:34 MST this morning. According to their system, right now, Formal Night is Day 3. However, they still show Day 3 as an "at sea" day, so something is not quite right yet. Probably goofed up because of the sudden change in schedules.

ok, with the changes I'll have to cancel our Mazatlan excursion; where is everyone going in PV??? I have Whale Watching in Cabo but since we're there twice where is everyone going for that too?

Denise....i need to talk to you

are you busy now??? Call me

Im a bit lost... But I know it will all work out. We WERE going to do the Stone Island Tour, so now its beach day in Cabo! Poor MazatlanFrank. I feel bad that his income went from some to none. They are all effected by this, but it is better that Disney keeps us safe.

As far as an Arizona meet is there another day other than Sunday everyone could get together? I keep my Sundays to Church/God so that wont work for me. But if it works for everyone, please dont let me keep from meeting. ;)

We are no longer whale watching in Cabo. We are afraid of the waves and we all get really sea sick. We are doing a Harbor cruise to see the arches in Cabo on the 2nd day. Megan just wants to walk around Cabo and see sights and shop on the first day.

Wow! You are really on top of this!!! Is this for door decoration? What are the suggested uses of the graphics?

On the original Cabo day we were booked through DCL for a ship excursion. The Pirate fantasy snorkel. Not sure if we are keeping that or not.

For the "new" Cabo day I think we may go on a whale watching excursion. Maybe that pirate themed pirate:one that Scott mentioned (We LOVE our pirates pirate: RRRRR) ...or there are tons of other whale watching choices.

The other thing I am planning to do on one of the days not sure yet...is horseback riding. HAVE to do this sometime on the trip to fulfill my promise to DD. :cheer2:

http://www.cabosanlucastours.net/Horseback-Riding.htm

Above has several "Horse" options. I like the combo ATV & horseback riding...but will prob choose either the one hour "Trails of the Baja" ride for &31.50 or the "Quest for Medano Beach" for 1.5 hours. If we ride horses we have to do it on our own due the kids ages.

I'm still spinning DCL canceled Matzalan! That is a really big move. Sad for the people of Matzalan that will lose so much income.

Looking forward to seeing what DCL does to add more excursion choices.

I'm not fully caught up with every post...but the official word is no Mazatlan at all, and they are scrambling to take it off the itinerary for new sales. Not sure about switching nights as far as dress code...and the order of the double Cabo is different for each...For Feb 27, March 6, and March 20 they have LA, Sea, Sea, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo, Cabo, Sea, LA. For us, it is LA, Sea, Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, Sea, Cabo, Sea, LA.

Excursions should be cancelled automatically. This obviously will impact other things like brunches and teas. Notifications are going out in order, beginning with January obviously.

I have many, many excursions to cancel and refund for Mazatlan:scared1:. I leave for the Dream again on Tuesday so I better get cracking!

For all of you that were GTY and now have assignments, please PM me your rooms, especially if you are in the FE.

Erin,
I was just wondering if we got on the "official" FE list with you! I can not PM you since I am new to the board and do not have enough posts. (Working on that!)
Trenton is 8 (Male), Tagen is 8 (Female), and Toryn is 2 (Female). Mom and Dad (Teresa & Chris are 38)
I am a Nurse Practitioner and my husband is an Electrician and stay at home Dad- we are eating late and our Stateroom numbers are 2094 & 2096.
We are from Olathe, Kansas and are staying at Long Beach the night before the cruise (I think!)
We do want to participate in the FE list but this is our first time so I am looking for all the details! :)
Thanks for your time! We are SOOOO excited!
Teresa:hippie:

We just got in the Crowne Plazza for $75 on Priceline!! They didnt accept $65 for us for 3.5 star in San Pedro area. We are still feeling we got a heck of a deal!! Now to figure out how to get off the boat - get a rental car for the day to turn into LAX to fly back home that Sunday night....ohhh!! Its getting so very close!

Ok Zonis...It looks like Saturdays and Sundays are out for our meeting at Dave and Busters. How about a Friday night? We are also available on Tuesdays and Wednesday nights, as well. Thoughts??

Also, does anyone know the times that we are in Cabo?

"School" nights are very difficult for us. So, a Friday night will work best but Dave & Busters on a Friday night might be crowded..

I've booked excursions! This is our first time booking DCL excursions.

For PV, Weds, I chose Paradise Beach Adventure for DH, DD, and me. (DS refuses to get off ship.)
For Cabo, Friday, I chose Harbor Cruise and Scenic Stop.

I think this will make DH happy that we're getting off the ship. For Cabo on Tuesday, I'm going to do some research to see if it's safe enough to get off the ship and wander around the town alone. :-)

Hi Teresa!
We need to get together soon... also, we are also staying at the Crowne Plaza, and flying home Sunday night. Are you flying with Southwest?
