March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

We were in LA this past weekend. I have to tell you that it was warmer there than it was in Phoenix. Low to mid 80s. I wore shorts all weekend, and ended up with a minor sunburn! It was great in the evenings.

We went down to San Pedro on Sunday night, and the weather was perfect.

Just thought I'd rub it in a bit.

As of 3 minutes ago, Disney Wonder was off the coast of Ensenada, steaming north at 23 knots!

She's getting closer!!!!

It's close enough now that we should plan a meet-and-greet in the Phoenix area within the next month.

Anyone have thoughts on what day might work, and where to meet?

An Arizona group meet and greet would be awesome. I know there are quite a few of us Zonis going on the ship. We could go out for dinner??

About Seattle I was just thinking that if the violence does continue to escalate and Disney does not think we are safe going there those are probably the ports we would end up with. When the swine flu hit Mexico those are the ports that all the cruise ships went to instead. I seriously doubt anything will change. So watch out warm weather and beaches here we come...

CopaDave!!!! What a great Idea. I am open to anytime. We should pick a central loction like Tempe, so everyone can get there from the valley. Over by ProBass there is a Dave and Busters! Any takers? Just a suggestion.

Works for us. The only Dave and Busters that I know of in Tempe is at the Tempe Marketplace..Is that the one we are talking about? Can we please include the kiddos so they can get to know each other, too? Just let me know when. How fun!!

The Pacific Ocean is a lot rougher that the Atlantic. Tell your dad to bring Bonine and maybe even get the patch. The really bad days are the first and last. The rest are not too bad. The Mariner of the Seas is such a large ship that I did not feel the motion at all and only had to use Bonine a few times last year. It was great, but the Wonder and the Carnival Pride are about the same size and I was very sick on the Pride when we did the MR. I have been told that Disney has better stabilizers than Carnival to help, but who knows. We did do the Magic in the caribean and I did fine there. I am just going prepared and hoping for the best.

I am sure you have already reserched this, but it can also be very cold the first and last days. Make sure you bring a jacket. A lot of times the winds on the last day will cause the outside decks to close. Just plan to do inside activites and it is still a blast. The port days are beautiful..Not too hot or cold, just about perfect!!

So are we thinking....no shorts for this trip. I'm good with Capri's but don't want to bring things I'm not going to wear.

I feel his pain about not going to Castaway Cay!! I love that place. It is a wonderful relaxing day!! I will truly miss that stop!!

Remember how much fun we had last time sitting in the chairs we pulled into the Ocean. That was a blast.

The was the best time I have had there!! It was so nice making a new friend and now we get to cruise again!! This is going to be GREAT!!!

How many people have 1st or 2nd seating? We are 2nd. We have always had first.

Denise...yes totally bring shorts. The weather in Mexico is warm and perfect for shorts. Just throw in a pair of jeans(or save the packing and wear them on the ship) and a light jacket for the first night and last day. Also please remember that I live where it is 120 in the summer so cold to me is anything below 60 degrees. You may not even be cold at all, but just to be safe one pair of jeans and a light jacket.

Every cruise we've ever done we've been on 1st, I'm extremely bummer we are 2nd on this cruise, however we are waitlist for 1st...praying for 1st.

I cast my vote for a Sunday, too. I work nights and Saturday night is my Friday, so I wouldn't be able to make it.

Alright - did some work on the cruise today - got it mapped out - only remaining tasks are rental car, shuttle, and packing!

We booked with Disney in PV on a tour to Yelapa and Majahuitas - forgive the spelling perhaps and don't even begin to ask me to promounce them! It's a catamaran, snorkel, beach and hiking trip. Seems like a nice trip to real Mexico via a look at some fishing villages.

In Cabo we booked the Kraken Hunt independently which is a whale watching tour on board a "pirate" sail ship. Should be quite fun. Mazatlan, we'll be getting a taxi and headed to the Golden Zone for the all important shopping! Mazatlan was a nice place to visit our last MR cruise, so we want to see a little more. I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and dodge loads of gang violence here daily. I'll be wary, but not worried.

We are doing the same excursion in PV!! My oldest DD thought it looked like fun!! Looking forward to it.

Have you noticed that there are NO excursions available for Mazaltan?? I wonder if they are reconsidering that port. Most reports that are coming back say that their sailings say no excursions available for that stop!!

Someone just confirmed that cruises are now going to Cabo twice. MAZATLAN is done. Off the itinerary.

I know Disney had to do it for our safety and that is good but I was really looking forward to the horseback riding excursion with Randi. Cabo was the one place I could not decide on what to do. Now I have to fill 2 days. Back to the planning board.
