March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

My itinerary is still the same. No two stops at Cabo. Am i looking in the wrong spot or are they just making the changes through Feb?? :confused3

The reports say Jan and Feb for now. But I am hoping it will be for us too. We should be recieving our documents soon .

We have 2nd seating as well, we really like it, but boy it seems we don't get to sleep until after midnight, finishing dinner around 10:00 some nights! :)

I've heard they've confirmed through March 6th but not our cruise? I'm going to call tomorrow...we have our only excursion in Cabo and I'd rather it be our first stop than the second stop to Cabo...hoping we find out soon! The phone waits are soo long right now on Disney, I'm hoping by tomorrow they'll have the website set up! :)

Denise the sitting in a chair on the beach sounds wonderful at this time! :)

When I went to DCL just now it stil shows us with the old itinerary. It won't let you however book a Matzalan excursion. I just tried. I guess that is a strong sign.

I was really looking forward to the excursion I'd booked through Matzalan Frank for all day there. Sad to miss it but not upset to much...I completely understand Disney's concern for our safety and being proactive.

Time to start researching more things to do in Cabo!

We had 2nd seating the last time and we were not sure we would like it but we gave it a chance and actually LOVED it!!!

One bonus is that the Kids clubs come right to the restaurant and pick the kids up after an hour or so. While we had our appetizers the kids had their main course, when our dinner arrived they had dessert and then away they went. Then DH and I get to spend the remainder of dinner and dessert together alone. It is late but the kids rolled with it!

We are doing 2nd seating again, maybe we will get to sit with one of our fellow dissers!

Our itinerary has changed... day 3 is cabo now, and day 5 is a sea day... I had palo brunch booked for day 3, I wonder if they will automatically switch it to day 5?

You are right! I just checked and it is different then it was just earlier this evening. It shows the double Cabo stop.

I ALSO had Cabo brunch booked for day 3...11 am. I suppose there won't be brunches that day after all and they'll move it? Wondering just like you Melissa what they'll do!

I'm checking into Horseback riding options in Cabo since I'd promised that as part of our day in Matzalan.

Found the following for those of you also looking at horses...

Alright - did some work on the cruise today - got it mapped out - only remaining tasks are rental car, shuttle, and packing!

We booked with Disney in PV on a tour to Yelapa and Majahuitas - forgive the spelling perhaps and don't even begin to ask me to promounce them! It's a catamaran, snorkel, beach and hiking trip. Seems like a nice trip to real Mexico via a look at some fishing villages.

In Cabo we booked the Kraken Hunt independently which is a whale watching tour on board a "pirate" sail ship. Should be quite fun. Mazatlan, we'll be getting a taxi and headed to the Golden Zone for the all important shopping! Mazatlan was a nice place to visit our last MR cruise, so we want to see a little more. I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and dodge loads of gang violence here daily. I'll be wary, but not worried.

Scott,

Guess you won't be going the the Matzalan Tour with us OR doing that special shopping trip after all. Bummer.

Now that I'm looking at Cabo options again. Can you post the link for the Kraken hunt?
Is this it?

Thinking that looks more to my liking that the Pirate ship through DCL that is a Pirate Snorkel. A Pirate whale outing sounds better. Guess my family is going to do Pirate ship of some kind on one Cabo day and horse back riding on the other Cabo day. Horses & pirates!

I have Palo booked for our first day at Cabo. Our ressies are at 11:30 that day. If we are in Cabo, I don't really want to go to our Brunch, but feel that we should be able have it another time.

Same boat. I expect they'll move them automatically to the rescheduled sea day. If not, I'll plan to cancel it. Don't want to do Palo on a Port day. Doubt DCL holds Palo on a port day though.

We are using Cabo Outfitters...google them or look them up on TripAdvisor..they have several cool things, all reviews just loved them...they have been very easy to work with...I just wrote to them and asked that we be moved to the first new day...so does anyone know the exact date/day of week we'll be at Cabo first? I'm going to check the website and see if I can find it....I don't want to name the wrong one!! :)
Thanks!
Tara

I guess the first Cabo day would be the 15th.

I assume that DCL will move our Palo day as well. That will be fine with me.
I am sure they are glad this day is over with, what a headache for them.

I just checked... it is Tuesday, March 15th

Tara what are you doing with Cabo Outfitters?? I just found them on the web

I REALLY wanted to do the cave/coral reef kayak exploration, but I have a dear hubby who is not keen on kayaks or our canoe! :) So, I wrote to Cabo Outfitters and described our party and she suggested a half day...they're going to pick us up at the port at 11:30 (8 of us) and take us to a beach where they will provide kayaks/snorkel gear/boogie boards (like I'm really going to try that..but the kids may) and beach chairs/umbrellas, if my husband just wants to sit there for 4 hours he can, but the rest of us can go kayaking and snorkel a bit....they'll have us back to the ship by 4:00...
I think it is around $45 a person for this and they bring water/snacks as well...they seem really nice and the reviews were wonderful!

Thanks!! It takes me so long to figure out or get my computer to download the right page...I'd rather explore with a tour guide the first stop and then take their suggestions of things we could do on our own the second time..

This looks like an option for us as well. I was really looking forward to the horseback riding. I need to do more research to know that my husband and daughter can have more freedom to ride as they are more experienced and would not enjoy nose to tail. It does say on FAQ that the guides will determine if they can ride faster. We may also look into the 1/2 horses and 1/2 ATV option. That looks like a lot of fun as well.

We have Palo at 10:30 on that day. I really did not want it later in the cruise. That is why I booked it for what I thought was the second sea day. My appetite is not as big later in the cruise as I have eaten so much all week. Oh well, I guess we will take what we can get.

Just checked and we'll be in port with the Mariner of the Seas (unless they've already pulled out??) on the 15th in Cabo and I think a Carnival line on the 18th...there may be competition for excursions, so I would book as soon as you can...before word gets out! :)
