March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

That's what I was thinking. Time will tell. We are the same, we spend our fair share also! There are a couple of things we like that isn't available on the ship. You would almost certainly find us in the Cadillac Lounge winding down the evening!

We've never hung out in that part of the ship. This will be our 3rd cruise and if our 2nd was an indication of anything, we won't do things the same way. So, maybe this time we'll hang out inside more - especially since it'll be "cold" to use Zonies. :rotfl2: On our cruise in October 2009, DH and I spent a lot of time at the adult pool but on our first cruise in Sepetmber 2007, I think we went there once. Good times!!! :cool1: I cannot wait to go on this vacation. I'm so glad we booked it for 6 months earlier than we normally do!!! :woohoo:

We go to most of the shows in Rockin' Bar D, (Wavebands on Wonder) but never went into Sessions (Cadillac Lounge on Wonder) until a couple of cruises ago. It's our favorite place on the ship now!

YIPEE!! A guy from my church has southwest ticket vouchers.....he is going to sell them to me.....He will ticket them in our name and make our flight arragements for us! The six of us will be flying for $200 each roundtrip!! Phew, I was afraid I would have to pay $1500 - 2000 for four tickets!! I am so happy now!!!

Have a great Monday. I have started making signs for my door!! I just need to laminate them when my boss isn't at work!!

We usually see the adult shows as well. Is Cadillac Lounge a sports bar? We might have avoided it because we're not in to sports. We'll have to check it out this time and see what's up in there. It's so amazing that in 2 cruises, we still haven't seen everything there is to see on the ship. Just goes to show ya!

That is amazing. :cool1: One of the reasons I was so excited DCL brought the Wonder to the west coast is I no longer have to pay $1200+ in airfare to sail with the mouse!!! We can drive to the port from here! I can appreciate the savings on air fare!!! For sure!!!

We haven't decided if we are flying or driving. It's kind of a long drive from here, but we've done it before. We'll have to see what the money situation is like when it gets a little closer. Flights from Utah usually are not bad to California. I'm sure it will be less than $100 each way. Thing is that we have 8 people to get there. Flights add up pretty quick when you have that many!

Hello everyone our family just got back last night from seeing the mouse at WDW. Eight days of fun!!! What have I missed since I have been gone?

After this trip to the world we r sooooooooooo excited about this cruise. The two vacations are very different. Can't wait.

This will be our 6th Disney Cruise (2nd on the Wonder) & we find something new every trip! The Cadillac Lounge is the same as Sessions on the Magic. It is the piano bar, aka a nice quiet hiding place!! Diversions is the sports bar. :drinking1

Seriously!!!!!!1:cool1::cool1:

And the best part about driving - no baggage fees and no weight restrictions to worry about!!! :woohoo::dance3:

Yay!!! Something new to explore. I'm totally going to check it out this time. :) My problem, though, is I seem to get ADD on these trips and can't sit still for too long.

:welcome: Aboard!! I doubt it will be your last one, it's addictive!!!!

yeah i think that anything that has to do with disney is addictive.
Im just getting a little bit overwhelm with all the planning and dining attire. Im not too sure what t pack. But im still exited this is going to be the longest 8 months of my life....

Does anybody know if their going to have a shop where we can rent tuxedos in the wonder for the march 13 to the mexican riviera??

I was wandering around the DCL site tonight and found it in the FAQs.

Maybe the prohibition was the cruise terminal, or the city, or something, because according to DCL, alcohol can still be brought aboard.

Alcohol is permitted on board. However, be aware that any fragile items (including bottled alcohol) must be hand-carried on board in a day bag and/or carry-on bag, the dimensions of which cannot exceed 22" wide, 14" high and 9" deep. Guests who request a Wine Steward to open and serve a bottle of champagne, wine or liquor that has been brought onboard will be charged a corking fee of $15.00 per bottle.

Please be advised: Disney Cruise Line reserves the right to remove fragile items (including beverages) from luggage. In such cases, items will be stored and returned at the end of the voyage. Beverage containers are considered fragile and have previously caused damage in checked luggage. All fragile items must be transported inside carry-on luggage.

That's good to know. Maybe they just stopped companies like Shirley's from bringing in on in baskets....:confused3

Does anybody know if their going to have a shop where we can rent tuxedos in the wonder for the march 13 to the mexican riviera??
They offer that in Port Canaveral, but it is a 3rd party company. Not sure if it's available in LA or not yet. I'll see what I can find out!:surfweb:

UPDATE: It would appear this service is available in LA. Check the FAQ page.

Those look great. I am trying to come up with some for our door as well.
I want one that says that my husband & I are celebrating our 20th anniversary!

It would be nice to have one design that our whole thread could use! Anyone creative??

Hi all! I've been lurking for a couple of months now (we made our reservations back in April), and I want to introduce us to everyone--this is our first cruise EVER and we are sooo excited! At least DH and I are, we haven't decided when to tell the kids yet (they love surprises.) Anyway, "we" include: myself, 38; DH, 47; DD, 10 at sailing; DS, 7. Looking forward to the FEs and other fun that awaits!

Welcome! My DD will be 11 at sailing and DS will be 6. You'll love it! Your first cruise!!

-----------
Also wanted to check in with everyone! We disembarked today from our 7 night Carnival cruise. It was really good. A few things about it were "so so" compared to DCL but the price was right and we enjoyed the ports very much, our wonderful balcony, pools, etc. I'll give more details later when I'm not so exhausted.
------------
Happy 4th of July everyone!!!

:welcome:Welcome!!! Our son will be almost 7 at time of sailing. Maybe they will hang out together at the Club.
