Hi folks,

For our upcoming cruise, I am interested in coordinating a door MAGNET EXCHANGE for those interested. You would simply stick a magnet that you've bought or created onto the participating door on the first night to decorate. With others participating, you door becomes a great display!

The magnets can be bought or crafted, personalized or representative of your region. Anything goes. It's meant to be cheap, cheerful and decorative.

Just simply send me a PM with your stateroom numbers and I will circulate prior to the cruise. *This will be separate from the "Fish Extender" exchange.

Am I too late to join in and participate in the FE group? If not, who do I send the information to? We are a party of 4...myself, DH, DS (16), DS (14). I am not very familiar with the FE, but after reading a few posts it sounds like so much fun!

I know that shorts, jeans, and swimwear are not appropriate attire for evenings in the dining room. Will slacks and a nice top/jacket be acceptable? We are hoping to save space in the luggage and only check one bag between us.

I am so excited. We are adding on 3 nights at WDW at the end of the cruise. I got a deal - an Animal Kingdom Lodge Savannah room for $200 less than the same package at Port Orleans. Breakfast with the giraffes.

Congrats on the great rate!!! Sounds like an awesome trip. I must say, I am a little envious though that you get to have breakfast with the giraffes - way cool

Yep a case of being in the right place at the right time. I hear there is a special tour only available to the guests in the lodge. The hotel page says check out availability and price with the hotel when you check in. That would present some awesome photo opportunities.

Folks -

I just made some more updates to the FE List (link in #120 on pg 8 or #240 on pg 16). Please check it when you get a chance, to ensure I've included all the info you want on there!

NO STATE EXCHANGE BASKET AT DISMEET..... I have not received a good response on this so I have decided to not include it in our DISMeet at this time. If you should decide you would like to do this, please PM me and I will keep a separate list and let everyone know if plans change by Feb 13th, the cutoff date for the FE list.

CUT-OFF DATE/TIME FOR FE LIST.....is Feb. 13th @ 5pm ct. That is 4 wks before we sail If there are any late comers after that, they will not be turned away but added to the list knowing that (1) they will only receive FE exchanges from those of us who have extras and (2) if there are alot of late comers, they would also have the opportunity to form their own FE group.

FE GIFTS......Some of you have been asking how this works because you are new to the whole FE thing and this is your first Disney cruise. Me too! Here is what I've been telling people -have fun with it....spend as little or as much as you want. You can either give something to every person in the stateroom, or to each child and 1 "pkg" to the parents/adults in the stateroom, or 1 exchange with each stateroom or ??

FE SCHEDULE.......Once the cut-off date/time have passed for the list, I will arrange a "dropoff" schedule for everyone to exchange their goodies once with each stateroom! We have 4 nts to do this, so if the group stays about the size we are at now, that would be about 6-7 staterooms per day/night, roaming the halls to find everyone. I feel this is the best scenario b/c especially for the younger kids, it "spreads the wealth"

DISMEET.......Will be at 3pm on Sun 3/13. Location TBD, but will have that figured out by Feb 13th I will have copies of the FE List with me for everyone, in case you forget to bring one with you. Folks who received upgrades at checkin can let us know at that time, or if your stateroom # has changed and you can not make it to the DISMeet, you can leave a vm in my stateroom and I will let everyone know. It will be fun to meet everyone and put a face to the name!

I am totally stoked about this cruise now, especially after seeing all the pics posted from the 1st preview cruise We are going to have a great time, the FE and magnet exchange (separate exchange for those interested) will be a blast, and our kids and families will make new friends and lots of memories!
