March 11, 2006 - 7 Day Magic

My boyfriend and I will be on this cruise - its my last spring break for law school (I will hopefully graduate in May)!

Hey DisneyJamie!!!

I am in graduate school too! I am in Accounting, so kinda related...with a stretch. This will be my last spring break as a student too! I have never been on a cruise but I am looking forward to it!!

I am ready to get this party started!

Excellent! Nice to know my DS won't be the only 14 year old on board. I'm sure they'll meet up in the Stack.

Kungaloosh!
Morticia.

As soon as i get some new pictures from my upcoming trip to Vero Beach, i will put a couple in my signature and I encourage you all to do it too, when you can. That way we will recognize each other when we get on the ship. I am so excited.

We are booked on this cruise ... travelling with brother's family and this would be their 3rd Disney cruise (recommended it to us).

Looking forward to a great time!

Thanks!

This site has been a great for getting extra info ... didn't even think about the need for a passport until seeing a thread here.

Welcome bcswebco.com! My DH and DD8 will be along for the ride - our 4th cruise. You'll absolutely love it!

Thanks CBEB!! Know we are in for a great time! As mentioned above this will be #3 for my brother's family (actually DW's brother). They absolutely love it and talked us into going this time. Didn't really have to twist our arms too much!! They have a DS that will be 18 at the time, so picked this particular date to fit in with his spring break.

No other kids tagging along with us - we did our "bit" and DD left the fold a few years back. This will be some wonderfully selfish US time!!

I noticed there were a few 6 year olds going. My son is 6 as well. We also have a 3 year old. I am pretty sure they will love the clubs.

Curious - are they incredibly structured at the kids' clubs? If my son wanted to play some video games instead of a movie - would they be flexible about that? (He tends to get very focused on one thing - and may not transition well!)

I guess I don't need to say - but this is our first cruise as a family!
(I did one years ago - on Costa Riviera. Me, 22 other highschool girls and four nuns! LOL)

I imagine this will be a different experience!

Sure they will love the clubs, and being Disney would make a guess that they are flexible to meet the needs of all the children. You might want to ask this question on the main cruise line thread (if you haven't already) ... more folks reading that area than this cruise specific one.

Beginning to wonder if we are the only ones booked for this date? LOL!!

And if we are the only ones - that means more pool space, plenty of comfy deck chairs and guaranteed good company! :rotfl2:

I swear - I can't wait to get on that ship!

Currently, we have 8 Dis families, we might end up with more, there's still time to book. I would imagine this cruise will end up being packed to the rafters. It's March break for school kids, here anyway.

Is anyone doing the tuxes for formal night thing?

Am certain this will be packed - the spring break thing is a definite factor. Was just kidding about being the only ones since this thread has been a bit slow.

I swear - I can't wait to get on that ship!
You and us both! My wife didn't think I was very excited about the cruise, but watches me on the board here gathering info and she sees otherwise.

Is anyone doing the tuxes for formal night thing?
Not us (2 families).

Sorry I haven't been around in a while...

I think everyone has kids that are the same age as mine but opposite sex! I have DS9 and DD6. But I don't think they care at that age, do you? I will try to get a recent photo and post it. I can't wait, this will be our first cruise ever!!! :cool1:

I am glad to see this thread picking up a little, but, we have a long way to go and I think after Christmas a lot more people with this cruise booked will be cruising the boards as the excitement builds. I am headed out for a week at Vero next week so I will check in on you guys after I get back.

March will be my family's first cruise. I have a son who will be 6 and a daughter who will be 4. Am presently driving my husband a little crazy by trying to find out everything about a trip 7 mos. away. I am a teacher so I figure that once September arrives I will be too busy to read the posts, etc..I booked the cruise for my family for next March Break through the Magical Rates so I don't have a room assignment and am presently scheduled for the 8:30 seating - can't believe that the earlier seating was filled 7 months in advance - but am on the waiting list so hoping for the earlier time. I figured that if we don't get the earlier time I could always consider visiting Disney again because I can't imagine my children lasting through dinner. :)

Welcome otoole !

I've been going through all the post too - gathering information - etc. ... not because I won't have time later ... just so excited about the cruise :earboy2:

It's nice to see the board picking up a bit! I mean my goodness - doesn't everyone post daily six months before their cruise!? :rotfl: (Yes - I do realize it is more like six months and three weeks - but who's counting? :teeth: )

I am originally from NY - moved down to Orlando two years ago.

Traveling: Me (did one cruise 14 years ago) DH, DS (6) and DD (3)
No one else in the family has done a cruise before!
