March 10 announcement?

That's great but what if you rebooked through this site and they say so sorry no dates or pricing is available?

So are you saying Costco or Disney direct, but not DU?

Or should I find a TA that knows what they are doing?

You should be able to book a cruise on the Fantasy through the end of 2012 with any TA. The TA will be the one to call DCL then.

Except that the DU website tells you that due to volume, they can't accept anymore reservation requests at this time. :confused3

ETA: For the first time in three days, it is accepting new requests this morning. Sorry about that.

If they sail north from New York I hope they do a fall foliage cruise, up to Quebec. Hotels in New England charge an arm and a leg during the fall, plus the small town roads are crowded, so a 10-14 day cruise would be a great way to see a lot of the area.

I am hoping for summer tours to Canada. I live in the DC area and summers here are hot and miserable. And hot, miserable and rainy in Florida and the Carribean. I am hoping for trips North to CA/New England over the summer. Right now Carnival offers those out of NY - 4 and 5 days all summer long. Disney can do 4-5 days North, 4-5 days in Bermuda and longer ones to the Eastern Carribean. And add longer tours North for fall foilage in September. Right no Princess, Carnival, Celebrity, Royal Carribean, and NCL all have presence in NY/NJ/Baltimore at least during the summer (although except Princess and Celebrity the others offer year-round from the area). I think Disney would make a mint sailing some different itineraries out of NY/NJ/Baltimore. I have a cruise on the Dream booked August 2012 that I will move in a heartbeat to any NY (or Baltimore) itinerary. Otherwise, I will probably reschedule my Disney trip out a few years and do Carnival north to Canada in the summer of 2012.

Nope. No announcement. It was just a rumor that there was going to be an announcement. The newest rumor is sometime early April.

Come on Disney. Tell us!!!! We are hoping for Europe, the Med or the Baltic. New York and Galveston does not excite us but even if it is one of those ports at least we could move on. The only port in the US besides Hawaii that excites us is Mobile, Alabama. We would love to leave from there.

DU can book Fantasy for Aug - Dec 2012 as well as Costco and yourself direct.

As someone posted yesterday you can book and get price for December 2012 on the Fantasy with Costco, but only August 2012 with Disney?

How can that be and so much for taken care of there own repeat cruisers?

This is interesting and a bit scary......I'm already booked through my TA for the 11/10/12 Western. I can pull up the reservation confirmation on DCL's website. So last night I played around on Costco's site and discovered that the staterooms we are already booked in are showing up as available through Costco! :scared1: What is up with that???

No biggie, it's like all those travel websites. They'll get a tentative booking set up and then search it and then tell the person that those specific cabins are not available but there are cabins at X,Y and Z.

Funny I just did the same thing and saw my room available that I just booked for our December cruise next year.

Booked!

Good thing I have everyone here to let us know what is going on.

TA said they would let me know when the dates opened up. Maybe next year I was told:headache:

Between just joining DVC and a 7 day cruise, Disney is sucking me dry!:rotfl2:

I played around with the site too and all the cruises I have booked other than our upcoming one in April show the same thing with our cabin. Those are in October 2011, March 2012 and November 2012. Since it did it for October and March, knowing that those have been available for booking for quite some time, I'm not too concerned over it. Now if it only did it for my November 2012, that would be another story.

Well, this all makes me feel a lot better. :) Gomagic, it looks like we're on the same cruise!
