March 1-5, 2009 Wonder Cruise

No Docs for me today, so sad!! I can barely take all of the excitement! For all of you looking for summer clothes in a non-summer state, go to Old Navy (I'm a manager at the Biddeford, ME store.) They have shorts, flip flops, bathing suits and everything. I live in Maine and we have it all in!!:laundy:

So, did anyone hear that you can bring a rolling cooler with drinks in it onboard? I think you just can't bring ice in it right? Any size restrictions on it? I am freaking out, is this real?Am I really going on a DISNEY CRUISE!!!!:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Hi Starmom,

Where did you read or hear this? As far as I know there are no coolers alowed on ship. :confused3 But I could be wrong. I would call DCL to check before you bring one. We brought our "drinks" in our carry on and we had no problems with that. I was always told no drinks in suitcases and no coolers. I would hate for you to get to Port and have them snag your stuff. (it happened to me at an airport once and it sucks! :headache: )

See you soon

Kim

Just got home from work a little while ago and my travel docs were there waiting for me :yay:

I got my SafeSea the other day as well so the kids will be ready to rock. I don't expect to see a whole lot of sea stingy thingys out there but it's always better to be prepared.

I didn't pick up anything new for the game today ...... except for my travel docs :woohoo:

I love Old Navy but we don't have one in our town so when I go shopping out of town it is a treat for me. I love the baby clothes that they have! Oh and flip flops are my fav!

Ok. Back in 2007, they didn't allow any 'outside' drinks at the terminal. I had a bottle of Dasani in my purse....they didn't catch me. Of course, I didn't even know I had it in there. BTW, the water on the cruise is actually decent. And I'm pretty picky about water.

"Personal coolers may not be brought onboard except for those needed for medications, baby food or items related to a dietary constraint."

:confused3

I am tempted myself to bring a tote I have that has a cooler lining, but I am not sure I want to take the chance of losing it. I'm something of a bag-a-holic.

Okay, I'll bite...

Does anyone want to meet as a group at some point during the trip? Some of us are not very good bloggers or at knocking on doors. But if we are all on the ship together for 4 nights... does anyone think there is a short period of time where we can aim to all meet and celebrate our super-highway-social-ness? I am better at that. We already know what's in each other's luggage - what do we have to hide now?

:laundy:

I don't want to set up a schedule or anything, but let's say I think I'll be wanting a margarita at Signals at 9pm on Sunday night... :cool1: theoretically, of course... would anyone else find themselves in need of a refreshment on deck 9 at that time?

This is theoretical, of course.

I hope the last offer wasn't too odd-sounding. I'll be on the cruise with my DBF  and some other family members :grouphug: , but it never hurts to toast to new acquaintances. :dance3:

I highly suggest using the 'secret' 7 aft deck area. It has about 15 reclining deck chairs and like no one ever uses it. Trust me. I speak from experience. We could meet up and give the kids a chance to say hi or something....Seven aft is only open until sunset. You'll see the wooden door.....

Also, everyone eating on Deck 9 will assume we must have some killer stateroom with a deck that size......rotflol.

I'm not opposed to it.

By the way, here is a good map to the secret Deck 7 aft verandah.

For some reason they wouldn't let me put the link on here so you'll have to copy n paste and take all of the spaces out.

Last year I did bring along a lined shoulder bag/cooler thingy and took it to CC with us, filled with bottles of water we had in our room (I think we bought a case of them or whatever). It worked just great and it's very necessary to stay hydrated in that heat!!

We got our docs today, too!! A much smaller package than last year, but the same stuff.

I saw on the discussion boards that people took coolers like recently! They also just took cases of beer and water onboard? That's why I was asking you guys? Meeting up on deck 7 aft sounds good to me! My room is on deck 7 so it's super convenient! Let me know the day and time and we will be there! So, I think I am just going to stuff water and beer in my suitcase is that o.k.?hehe, I am always the trouble maker of the group, like a kid!:hippie:

:rotfl2: That is soooo true! i would love to do the meet and greet. I would like to nominate Poppygirl to decided the final meet spot, she is the one who started this thread for all of us to meet! Anyone second that motion?

:rotfl: I would like to note for the record that the only one posting photos of their private luggage was donniehoo.

In my Cruise documents it states "Personal Coolers: Personal coolers may NOT be brought onboard except for thos needed for medications, baby food, or items related to a dietary constraint."

Hope this helps.

I'm all for a meet! Just say when and where.
