Marathon Weekend Participant Ticket ?

I know as a participant we can get package deals but as DVC owners we don't need the whole package. Is there a way to get discounted park tickets only? Also, any past participants, is the after party worth the extra $$. It'd be 4 adults and 2 children (aged 14 and 10 so not kids to Disney) so it wouldn't be cheap and I want to make sure it's worth it before taking the plunge.
