Marathon Weekend Help

So a family member just asked for help planning a trip for NEXT WEEKEND! Talk about extreme last minute trip

Is there a sticky somewhere or a good information source about marathon weekend? Looking for road closures, impact in the parks (do they run through? I don’t even know), if there’s a certain park that should be avoided on Sunday, that kind of thing. They could not find a room onsite so I believe they will be offsite and driving in as of now.

the primary issue is some traffic and road closures in the morning on Saturday and Sunday. The event guide has maps to use for this. https://guide.rundisney.events/ Build in an extra 30 minutes if there is a set time they need to be somewhere. The half marathon will be done by 10:30 and really only impacts rope dropping at EPcot. there might be some hold up getting to MK really early as it heads through the park. The full marathon on Sunday hits all the parks, but it starts at 5:00 am, so park time is earlier in MK, and only a little bit in some like DHS, but will play a little bigger role in Epcot where it finishes. the Epcot parking lot is a little crazier than usual since all participants and spectators that drive park there.
