Marathon Weekend and Epcot Resorts

We are staying at an Epcot resort. Can we walk through the park to the start or do we have to take a bus or drive. If we drive do we jsut park in the epcot parking lot. If we have to take a bus do they run every hour or what. How early do we need to get on a bus. Im really surprised with as many people going and making travel plans that the race packets and info isnt sent out earlier.

There are special coach buses that run from all the resorts to the entrance to the race area. These buses start running around 3:30 am with the last bus at 4:30 am. They usually pick up the racers at the main resort entrance.
Since the races start approximately 3 hrs before the gates of Epcot opens, there is no way to walk through to the start line.
