Yesterday’s 5k box looked just like the W&D boxes. My guess is that those were leftovers and they started the new boxes for the 10K.
I’m curious what the DLR 5K field size is in comparison. They definitely have more pressure around pace there- I almost got swept once because I waited for a photo and had started in B.That said... probably going to have more pressure to maintain a decent pace
This for sure, I was on the tape for wave 2 and was thinking the whole time “this is great, why would you want to duck under and start at the back of the crowd”Yeah there was a lot of people pushing forward. But equally as crazy to me were all the people ducking under the tape into the first wave after they put it across.
DL also has an earlier opening *and* ended inside the park, I think that was driving a lot of the pressure to keep it moving. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw more of that for WDW 5ks though.I’m curious what the DLR 5K field size is in comparison. I usually prefer that too, but in this case I was actually happy because I just stood way back where nobody was and felt far enough away from people to take off my mask and warm up a bit. This for sure, I was on the tape for wave 2 and was thinking the whole time “this is great, why would you want to duck under and start at the back of the crowd”
I’ll actually plead guilty to this a time or two in the past. I didn’t do it to start earlier, though. I’d much rather start at the tail end of a mini-wave than at the front of one. I like to have the space to do what I need to at the pace I need to. It’s most crowded there at the beginning and I don’t want to be in the way of the faster runners as they come out of the blocks. I never really saw it as an etiquette thing, as you can’t predict what part of a mini-wave you’ll be in until they stretch the tape.Yeah there was a lot of people pushing forward. The DL 5Ks are much much smaller. Because of the start and finish inside the parks, and the earlier open.I’m curious what the DLR 5K field size is in comparison. They definitely have more pressure around pace there- I almost got swept once because I waited for a photo and had started in B.
I'm seeing 12:00 pm on one page but if you told me they made a boo-boo and listed a different opening time elsewhere I would not be surprised at all.The MW weekend website says the expo opens at 11am today. We stopped after dropping my son off at the airport. There is a line of people outside. Apparently they are not opening until noon now. Lots of people walking up and asking CM’s why they aren’t open.

Fair enough! And I definitely didn’t find it rude or anything, more so my rule-followingness would be too scared to attempt itI’ll actually plead guilty to this a time or two in the past. ooooh...which NON-fluencer was it so I can be sure to never be fluenced by them in the future?Did anyone who was in corral A this morning think the pushing to the front was out of control? It was bad. One guy finally had enough and spoke up to two guys pushing forward. Thought we were going to have a nice little fight before the race. One guy, who is an influencer, pushed forward with his entire posse. It was unreal. They need to start putting the group dividers out early to stop people from pushing to the front.
Good grief. Today is Friday. My days are all messed up. Need sleep. LolI'm seeing 12:00 pm on one page but if you told me they made a boo-boo and listed a different opening time elsewhere I would not be surprised at all.

In Dallas…. And delayed 1.5 hoursI’m on the plane! Also half of Mississippi is on the flight too going home- totally full flight!
Cool ranch Doritos are an abomination.
Just who are these influencers that are getting these perks?ooooh...which NON-fluencer was it so I can be sure to never be fluenced by them in the future?
Been there and done that! After a fun tour of little towns in central FL, we are on the Turnpike and moving again. What a mess!
Pretty sure this is the same posse from Wine and Dine. Most of time I try not to care if up in A corral. If they are trying to win the race by all means please move on up. That group bothered me. Told my wife I was trying to figure out why but in the end… that group had an extreme sense of entitlement and complete disregard for others. Zero courtesy. Not a single “excuse me” or “oh I’m sorry”.Did anyone who was in corral A this morning think the pushing to the front was out of control? It was bad.
