Marathon Weekend 2026

For me, doesn't matter. Can't wear a shirt before completing its race (cue the DW saying "So there is something you are superstitious about!". Nope, just won't wear it before it has been earned.), and won't wear them until after hemming them to short sleeved. So my wardrobe coordination is with past race shirts. YMMV (and probably will).
With the weather forecast they should have a hemming service at the expo! (Would make my packing easier- I'd planned to wear my race shirts after the race but it's looking like short sleeve weather this year)

That would be tremendous. I always only pack for a few days knowing that I will probably wear my race shirts to the park. More than likely I still will, LOL. Just rolling the sleeves up.

Can someone refresh me on what the POT timeframe was for this weekend? Have a feeling what I have as my best (from October 2023) will be expired for next year's race but just curious, thinking about putting another half on the schedule for Spring.

2:30 or faster for a half. I squeaked in at 2:29 back in September and plan to use that for upcoming POTs.

My daughter is 711xx and we entered 10-12 minute mile pace, I believe.
Just goes to show how random runDisney is with corral placement for the 5k/10k. I put in 8-10 for my son, and his bib number is 71200. I’m hoping he’s not too far back, since he’s been working to get faster and actually has a time goal this year.

Another data point, Goofy 301XX, 1:27 10 Mile POT. Probably B.

Which I'll take, considering this year is less "the hay is in the barn" and more "we're tapping into government grain silos from previous years." I'm probably going to be pretty sore at DATW!

Okay, I am really excited to start packing (we're leaving tomorrow). I am having a dilemma. Is it crazy to bring 4 pairs of shoes, knowing I am likely (but not guaranteed) to buy another pair at the expo? (I think I go through this every time we leave for a race weekend but, you know, marathon weekend feels different).

Pretty sure I’m bringing 4 pairs (5 if you include flip flops) 😂

Will you need to check an extra bag that you otherwise were not planning to bring and will it cost you extra money? If the answer to one part of the question is "No" then it's not crazy.

When I run Dopey I always bring at least 3 pairs of race shoes and 1 pair of shoes for the parks. I've learned I can't run multiple days in a row with the same shoes or I get blisters. Also this covers me in case of rain too.

This year I'm running Goofy. I'll have 2 pairs for the races, 1 pair for the parks and maybe a pair of Converse or Vans (which may double as my "work" shoes for a business trip I have to tack on at the end of the week - trying to avoid a pair of dress shoes). And I hope to buy at least 1 pair of Brooks. So , no 4 pairs isn't crazy.

Absolutely not! I’m bringing a pair for each race, plus a park pair, and probably recovery sandals. 😳.
We are driving - checked luggage might make me rethink, but a girl needs options.

Also bringing 4 pairs of just race shoes, plus a pair for the parks. I may double up and wear my marathon shoes for the 10k if there is no chance of rain, but otherwise I'm doing a separate pair for every race.

Anyone have any experience with Brooks long sleeved shirts, and how easy it is to push the sleeves up?
Like others mention, I usually wear the race shirts after the races, but with it looking to be pretty warm, I’m wondering if I need to pack other shirts or if the sleeves will easily push up like past race shirts…
