Dopey Bib: 201XX. This year's bib is 2 numbers off from 2025 using the same POT (1:36:56 HM). How cool would have it been to get the exact same number? By the way, I was in A last year so I assume I will be in A again this year.

I am three numbers off of my bib number from 2024, using the same POT.

Does anyone have insight on 5k corral numbers? Curious about 711xx and where it might be.

My daughter is 711xx and we entered 10-12 minute mile pace, I believe.

Just got the email from runDisney prompting you to get your expo pass and reminding people about the virual queue. I have never gone to the expo on the first day and never needed a VQ. Is this really going to be a requirement all day? Like, if we show up at 4pm are we not going to be allowed in, potentially?

You should be fine. I normally get there around 3-4 and the VQ is gone by then.

Doubtful, but pace estimate helps. I rarely see 5k bibs posted and usually not with any pace estimate so there isn't much to work with. Really would just say to take the pace estimate and guess it aligns with corral in order (<7 min in A, 7-8 min in B, etc). IIRC there were some reports that they may have combined two of the early pace corrals at W&D? This is going to be a weird one because it's the first MW with the new <7 min and 7-8 min pace estimates.

Last year for my charity Dopey bib (1:58ish POT), I was in corral D for the 5 and 10k’s. I put in the pace estimate of 8-10. I think there was speculation that there were multiple corrals of the <8 mm group and maybe even 8-10, and they could only put so many people in a corral. Since I was a charity registration, I also think that is possible that I was put at the bottom of the 8-10mm list, so last corral using that estimate. So, yes, we will see how it goes this year with the added faster pace estimate - If a lot of people still put the fastest option or not. I still put 8-10, which is usually realistic for me, but probably not right now since I had to pause training for a few weeks. I was really worried last year about being that far back, but it ended up not being too bad, and I had fun! I think the key was to being near the front of a wave.

I cannot believe all of the 'jinxes' we are experiencing in the lead up: We both had a few nagging pains that we are working through, we both feel a little under the weather; over the weekend I had to track down a dentist to look at a possible issue - luckily not a cavity or anything like that, but gave me antibiotics in case it does turn into something; this morning while getting ready to head out for our final run, a loud BOOM and the power went out - we have all electric including heat and the well for water, this is while we are doing all of the laundry so we can pack, luckily it was back on when we returned. Then this just happened:




Not going to say who did it, but I am just hoping this is not some foretelling of doom to come. Maybe it's symbolic of what happened during last year's attempt (Erika fell, broke her wrist at mile 20 and we had to DNF). Or maybe just a signal to buy this year's mug.

Just crossing all fingers that we get on the plane safely tomorrow.

I put the same estimate and am 253XX sigh. I wonder if it’s because my registration wasn’t until June due to charity.

Don't stress yet. The one year I ran with a charity, my bib # was off, but I was seeded correctly based on my time estimate.

At that time I didn't have an updated POT to submit and my races were all after the submission date so I used my 10 Miler from a race with so.much.incline.

I am guessing I might squeak into B but happy with C.
