Marathon Weekend 2026

SAFD: I have to sit out because I haven’t been to enough of them to pick one over the other, but it’s definitely helping me consider new places to try in the future.

Unrelated question - Has anyone purchased the Dopey Pandora charm? I’m strongly considering it for a previously completed Dopey, but I hate to pay full price for it. Wondering if it’s worth the splurge (I have DVC, an AP, and the Disney Visa, but none are applicable on the Disney store website at the moment).

Ok, I’m about to get all my devices prepopulated with my credit card info and I’m trying to decide which credit card to use. Has anyone had any experience with Chase Saphhire’s travel insurance for race registrations? I could see it falling under “pre-paid, non-refundable travel expenses”, but (thankfully) I’ve never had to submit a claim for travel insurance before.

I believe the item has to be booked as part of a travel package--so not as a standalone item. From the Sapphire Preferred guide:
"Eligible Travel Expenses are Non-Refundable prepaid travel expenses charged by a Travel Supplier (Travel Agency, Tour Operator, Provider of Lodging, rental car agency, Rented Recreational Vehicle Provider, commercial recreational excursion provider, Cruise Line, airline, railroad, and other Common Carriers). Eligible Travel Expenses also means redeposit fees imposed by a Rewards program administrator. Eligible Travel Expenses does not include Event Tickets or prepaid fees to theme parks, museums, golf courses, or other points of interest (unless such expenses are included as part of a travel package)."

I'm going to gamble that it is (still) available at the parks when I go for SS weekend. If I weren't going so soon, I might have my mom grab one for me on her next park visit. If you're still looking when I go, I'd be happy to grab an extra and send it your way.

I didn’t even think about that! I will be there for Springtime as well, so I’ll take a look while I’m there. I’m hoping to get out of my own head that weekend and make it to some pre-race meetups again. Thanks!

I just purchased the Dopey charm from the Pandora website. They gave me a 10% discount and I was able to pick it up at my local pandora store near me (no shipping charge, yeah!). It's available online on Pandora.net in case they don't have it at WDW.

Happy registration eve. I really hate the earlier registration time. Need to really figure out the plan tonight. Mentally I'm thinking of weaning myself off MW. This will be my 8th year, the last 5 were Dopey. This year was great as my 18yo ran Dopey with me. Now my 16yo (will be 17 for MW) is interested in doing the half. So I think I might do Goofy with my oldest and my middle can do the half. Then my wife says she likes the 10k which then has me thinking "what's one more morning and 5k." Ugh, the addiction is strong.

SAFD: Looking at the bracket makes me realize that I don't know much about eating at Disney.

Hey all - does anyone have insight into how fast Dopey typically sells out? This is my first time trying to run it, and of course I had a surprise in-person 9:30 est meeting scheduled, which will make getting in the queue right at 10am pretty impossible. Any tips? Thanks!

This post will give you all the historical details:
Thread 'Historical Race Weekend Sell Out Timing'
https://www.disboards.com/threads/historical-race-weekend-sell-out-timing.3844193/
I would also note that the sell out times may be how long the races are available, but some of them are from people that have joined the queue right when it opens and if you join late, it may be hard to get a spot.
But if you follow these boards, someone may be able to give you a Queue ID to enter faster than joining late.
(Not sure that I explained that well, but just look for people here to help you out with a faster queue.)

Good morning, RunDisney All-Stars! March is upon us, which means it's time to crown our favorite dining location in March Magical Madness! We picked our top four dining locations from each park, setting up our very own Sweet Sixteen (with some very sweet option in there, indeed), and now they'll go head to head to see which comes out on top.

Pick your favorite from each match-up in the bracket below. At the end of the week, I'll tally all the votes and we'll see which advance to the Elite Eight. I'll leave voting open through the end of the day on Friday to give everyone a chance to weigh in. Here we go!
