Marathon Weekend 2026

Can someone share the link to the expo page? I've been checking the USATF website for certifications and haven't seen anything yet. I feel like the course would need to be certified before they can publish the expo?
I would say that is not necessarily true. I feel like sometimes the course doesn’t show up on the USATF website until really close to the race. I would guess that it has already been measured, but maybe not submitted for certification or released to the website yet???

Or maybe they aren't changing the course? I'd be shocked because I can't see how they get us through the former Dinoland

If I recall, that's usually true - they play games with the USATF release date

the 2025 course was measured on September 16th and 17th, but didn't get certified until Dec 12th last year. I agree that there is some controlling of when things get published on the website vs when it might be "hidden" but somehow people have found them early in the past.

I keep looking at the AK map, and unless they send us out by Restaurantosaurus (and then onto Savannah Circle as usual, or in the parking AK lot) they have to send us across the bridge by the Oasis. Right? Or are there even more sneaky, hidden roads in there? I feel like there's little-to-no chance of them sending us through Pandora, or out on that side in general because that's where the park bus loop is.

So I'm guessing they'll end up sending us through that horrible construction wall corridor between Nemo and Dinosaur and send guests around the boneyard (rip) and in from that main hub side to get there so we don't have to cross and they don't have to deal with the rope-and-tape guest crossing islands.

That makes sense, would imagine most major race orgs would want to coordinate with the USATF on this stuff. In RD's case they might also measure a course earlier but not publishing until December allows them some leeway in case they need to make changes, and given all the construction it's definitely something they keep in mind.

Just a gut feeling but I wonder if the reason USATF goes live before RD can publish the expo guide is because RD gives them a go live date that they intend to publish the expo guide and end up being late with finishing and publishing the expo guide. It's kinda weird that they set it up so we can see that they're working on it but it's password protected, right?

Not a running topic but still relative as it is for race week…any book lovers out there? I’m doing my trip shopping and trying to decide on a good book to bring. Something to distract me but nothing that takes too much digesting and thought, as I fear I won’t have much focus! Any good recommendations?!
If you want a running book to inspire you and fire you up, I highly, highly recommend Keira D'Amato's book Don't Call It a Comeback.
