Ugh, I bought one of the weekend Corkcicles and it’s all chipped on the bottom. I’m mad at myself for not noticing. Guess I have to head back to the Expo tomorrow after the meetup to exchange it.

No mini-corrals within corrals for the 5k.

My buddy, who is a pretty fast runner, forgot to submit his POT this year. He picked up his bib today and they put him in F. He went over to runner relations and explained to them what happened and showed his POT, they switched him over to A without any hastle. I think they did it so willingly because when he was there there wasn’t really anyone around. Try doing that on day 1 of check in and I think you get denied as if you do it for one person, the next person is going to possibly hear it and want it also.

I picked up my grocery order today and realized I forgot Uncrustables. So I popped over to the Contemporary to pick some up and encountered this sign:

I got a different version of this email (I'm Dopey). Apparently my 5k/10k bib might be impacted, but not the half/full. If I want, it can be dealt with in the morning.

My partner has a 10k bib for tmrw (not doing a challenge), and she got an email that said her timing chip may be impacted but there’s nothing they can do about it. It seems like they’re only fixing it for challenge runners. I feel like that’s a major problem and people should be compensated if it doesn’t work, right? They pay (a lot!) for a timed race.

This is bizarre. If we didn’t get the email should we assume our tracking is ok?

I’m not super worried about an official time per se, but this would be a much bigger deal for me if they still validated before getting challenge medals

I got the email and I haven't even pick up my bib yet...

I received two emails about this. No mention of which of the two Dopey bibs is impacted, and no word, of course, on how this will affect getting the Dopey medals if I don’t bother to visit the expo again.

Do they even check if you complete all 4 races to give the medal? Last year they didn't.

Guess I'll PR in fun tomorrow, since my time won't be officially recorded

Got the email as well. Seems like it might have been sent to just about everyone.

Having everyone descend on the expo if they want to be sure to have a functioning timing chips seems like a great idea .

Got the email too. Is it just for the 5k and 10k bib? I guess I'll try to ask in the morning. Not a big deal this year as I'm not trying to qualify for Boston and I have another fast local half that I use for a POT.

I am Dopey and did not get any emails. My daughter - 10K only and other daughter - marathon both got emails. 10K “oh well”…marathon go to expo for a new bib/chip to ensure it works.

I kinda don’t care about 10k and half but do want the full time. And I REALLY do not want to go back to expo…ugh!!
