Commiserating about training.....for kicks, I just added it up.....I've spent 58.5 hours training for the marathon over the past 12 weeks. I have 4 weeks of training left an I expect to run for another 14 hours not including the race). Marathon training has caused me to cut back on strength training and increase yoga/stretching.
I'm definitely in the, "I'm never going to do this again" zone. Last year, 2 hour long runs were long, and a couple of years before that 90 minutes felt long, now I would kill to
only have to run 90 minutes. Those were the days!!!!
I only work part time and my social commitments are low, so for me I just can't wait to get back to strength training more and running less.....I want to do the same things, but in a different ratio.

Mountain Woman - heart wrenching that your son is missing you on your runs. But he also sees your dedication to doing incredible things with your body. It's tough to balance things as a mom.
ETA: I pre-ordered the Marathon Weekend Spirit Jersey - In those original mini-icon it showed the D with Minnie & Mickey on the front, and now it's on the back....I'm honestly not sure which way I like better, but no choice, I guess it's on the back.
And I just cannot believe that no one ironed a darn thing before they did this photo shoot!!!???

Isn't it somebody's job to think thru these things? Review photos before posting? Am I showing my age?!?
