Sounds like everyone had a great 5k! Currently at the airport waiting to board. Looks like everything is running on time so we should land at noon. Can’t wait to be there! I know it’s Florida cold but I almost died walking from my car to the terminal in 20 degrees and 30 mph winds so I’ll be glad for 50s

Girl on the bus next to me was having the same problem in the app, and when she entered her code on the website, it said she'd already linked, so it seems like the invalid code thing is false and it's actually working. But try the website just to be sure

Usually leaving around 2:45a, and pulling in around 3am is pretty seamless. There usually a good stream of cars entering, but no back ups. Just make sure to set an alarm on your phone if you do decide to take a nap.

No traffic driving in at all today. Left the Dolphin at 350 and was parked less than 15 minutes later. The worst lines were for gear check drop off and pick up. Time worth spent waiting, though, to get the discounted beer.

Apparently they are doing the runs this weekend based off decades again... soo it was just all old characters. 30 and 40s I heard them say.

So 10k I guess will be 50 and 60s tomorrow.

If it's going to be the same theme as last year, I'm going to be annoyed if so many of the marathon characters are Disney Junior like they were last year. I know a lot of people complained, so it would be SUPER annoying if they did that again. Hopefully it'll be more of a mix.

Did they have any rundisney magic bands? I forgot mine but I like using them so I will buy another. I'm not too picky but if there is a run Disney one I would wait to get it. Otherwise I'll just get one at POP.

Thanks for the traffic report! I seem to leave later and later each race and was trying to tell myself I should try harder to be out the door at 2:45… but I’m now sticking with 3. (Which will almost certainly be more like 3:15)

Bag check was bad, the line for the buses going back weren’t great either (I'll chalk that up to them still needing to clear the course). Tough week for lines here!

Travel day is not going smoothly. Forgot my phone at home.Good thing I was only 2 miles from the house when I realized. And now my flight is delayed for mechanical reasons and late crew. How can a plane that has been sitting here since last night need to be serviced? And then oh joy, we get to de-ice. If we're only an hour late, we'll be lucky.

By the time we got through the line for Big Bad wolf the corrals opened up and we went to go get in line.

I got to the meetup maybe 3:10-3:15 and there were already a few folks there. I left right at 4 to go to bag check (anxious as I never use that). Not sure how much longer the rest of the group lasted, but it's always worth a swing by if you think you may have missed it.

I did snag a dopey pic after race for insurance.

Wait. Where was Dopey?! He wasn't on the character list sign pre-race, so I didn't even walk over and look!
Never mind. I'm an idiot. I took a pic of the list and it didn't register AT ALL that Dopey was there. I went back to look at my pic and yep -- right there. I guess I need more coffee??

UGHHHHH I really hope they aren't going to standardized characters too. And if you're doing 20s/30s, you can't toss me an Oswald?! I suppose I should be excited that this likely means Meg and Herc will be out again during the Half!

Just to add other data points, I left my room at Poly about 2:45, drove straight in with the line of traffic without delay. I was parked by 2:58 and there were only a handful of people going through security. There was a wait for bag check at 4am, and some trucks had really long lines during pickup. I got lucky and mine was short.

Waiting at DFW airport, watching a mix of snow and rain come down. So far our flight is on as scheduled, but so many flights are cancelled... Fingers crossed!

Interesting. My box had Skittles and a Nature Valley Oat & Honey bar instead of the M&Ms and fruit gummies. I wonder what other variability there might be.

I'm always curious about the variations. I'm guessing sponsors send x amount of product and they use it until it runs out, then fill in with existing supplies from food & bev department. This is why I try to always post a pic!

Y’all mind helping me out with a dumb question - being club runD has made me dumb with POTs and the formulas/calculations I see posted (I really tried to follow the spreadsheet!). My DW (not club runD) had a 2:29:04 POT and is in F for the Half/Full. Is F just the way it is with that kind of POT? Appreciate any input from those that are good with these things! Thank you.

I assume that's a half POT? I'm gonna say that she should try to get this fixed at Runner Relations, but also that it's possible that she gets bumped to D instead of C. Here's why:

That POT would put her in C for the half, obviously they're looking for 2:15-2:30 for that race. HOWEVER, it translates to a POT above 5:00 for the full. @DopeyBadger had a calculation on this yesterday. That obviously puts you in a dicey situation for Dopey/Goofy: the POT is good enough for one race, not good enough for the other. RD has said that if you put a POT in that doesn't actually qualify for the POT corral, they'll put you in the last corral. But they don't provide the chart you mentioned, it's technically an educated guess from the rest of us as to how they handle this. So I think it's unfair to penalize her for a POT that works for one race but not the other when we technically don't have all the information. I'd ask about this but also be prepared to say you didn't know how the conversion would work. Based on what you're saying I think she should be in D though.

The POT was in the range of acceptable dates for this weekend, right? That's the only other reason I can think for them not accepting it.

Really appreciate you taking the time to explain this, thank you. Yes, it was a half time from Thanksgiving 2023. She registered with a registration from Give Kids the World sometime late spring, although I don’t think that should have impacted things?

Currently rope dropping the noon expo opening to visit runner relations, 12th in line with a quickly growing crowd!

We just crossed into Florida! The state line is where we traditionally put on/take off our Magicbands, so we are now wearing them and hurtling toward WDW!!

I stopped in the tech store at DS yesterday and they only had phone cases. Person working they should have more options soon. There was a case at the expo with some custom items so I would assume they will show up soon.
