Marathon Weekend 2023

First time I’ve seen the bib pickup line longer than the merch line
wow

W&D the line was wrapped around the building and it was roughly 35 mins between getting in line and exiting with us grabbing 5k & 10k bibs stopping at runners relations and using a restroom

Has anyone created a spreadsheet or anything showing bib#’s and corresponding start corrals for the various races?
I’m only doing the half this time and am curious— I don’t get to WDW until tomorrow

FWIW to first timers/people who didn’t do W&D with the new VQ (even though MW is on a grander scale so comparing the two races is apples to oranges)

-Shopping Group 50 return time 10:35
-Arrived just after 11 return time now 11:45
-Took roughly 35 mins to get bibs return time now 12:07
-spent about 15 mins in visa athletic center
By the time we headed to arena we were called

Yep kept pushing back… makes me wonder if why all the higher numbers early on this weekend is because they are putting less people in each group to prevent pushback

My flight leaves tonight but we have a storm coming in today so I’m stalking the flight status. I hope you all get what you want at the expo today! I think the theme is great but I know I won’t wear it. I’m sure I’ll find plenty to spend money on in the parks! I really want to get a Christmas ornament from the store in Disney Springs.

My group 32 call was right on time but with the line inside waiting I decided to thank runDisney for saving me $$ and skipped the expo and merch
heading to the resort pool for some fun

The only thing I saw that I liked was the generic RunDisney hat. Everything else was nothing I’d wear out in public

That's the only thing I bought. I agree with the sentiment that I wouldn't wear the rest of the merch in public.

Up at 8:30 and got group 22. My wife is not feeling well and wanted to sleep in so we missed our window. Does anyone know if they let you in even if your window passes like the do (did) for Guardians??

Also, since I also missed my boarding group for Guardians, are they still allowing you in after your window expires? They were doing that when we were there last in August.

Up at 8:30 and got group 22. My wife is not feeling well and wanted to sleep in so we missed our window. Does anyone know if they let you in even if your window passes like the do (did) for Guardians??

They’re calling them in ranges so you technically didn’t miss it yet. They’re currently at groups 15-44

Yea, times for the merch building definitely going backward. Our time has pushed back 20 minutes since getting here. I think we may be skipping of it keeps pushing back.

Sitting at the airport waiting for my flight (delayed two hours and counting). Can’t wait to get to the Poly!!

Today has been full of first-world problems:

• one of our group of 7 was bumped from 1st Class (booked with points. my mom volunteered to take the downgrade so I could help take care of the three kids)

• we got to the airport too late to get to the Capital One lounge (since rectified, thanks to the delay)

• I missed Wordle for the first time… ever? I didn’t make any errors per se, just got stuck in a trap

I’m getting all of my bad luck out of the way up front. And recognizing how truly blessed I am to be able to take this trip at all.
