Marathon Weekend 2021

Meanwhile...has anyone else started their costume? No? Just me? Worst case scenario I wear it for the 2022 WDW marathon, and it's nice to have a project to be excited about.

I've been trying to figure out what costume I would like that would be best aided by a mask, that was never an option before. Mostly I was thinking fur characters.

It would also be a great time for a Buzz Lightyear costume if you could actually feed air into the thing!

I have ideas. None are necessarily particularly original, but hopefully simple enough to execute, and some of our favorite characters will be involved!

Love these, hope 2021's MB is as cool since I did preorder it. I went ahead and preordered the marathon package with logo pin, medal pin, and magnet too. Since I'm "only" running the marathon and we prefer to have the majority of our park time after the race, I won't be at the expo until Saturday. This way for sure I've got the MB and some pins, and pins are the souvenir I tend to care most about. It's a little frustrating, though, not knowing what they're going to look like when making that decision. That's one of the big reasons I've passed up the jacket, tbh.

Already ordered the base layer for mine - as long as it's not beastly hot.

Working on figuring out Plan B for if it is beastly hot.

Mine always end up being more bounding than actual costume - and Plan A definitely will be because no way am I doing a full make-up job for it just to be hideous by the finish line.

I got to the expo on Thursday afternoon this year and there appeared to be an ample supply of everything, including preorder stuff.

I got to the expo around 1pm on Wednesday and many of the medal replicate pins were sold out (including Dopey and Goofy). The only thing I preordered was the magic band which I am glad I did because I didn't see those available on the floor either. Plenty of clothing though.
