I've asked a couple of similar ticket questions, but I think they've been lost in the shuffle of all the hustle and bustle on this thread over the last dayHopefully someone can answer us once things settle down. To me, it seems like the 2 one day hoppers are a better value than the gift card. I asked if they could ever be combined by guest services into one ticket? I'm thinking no?
We just got back from there. I love shopping, but the entire Premium Outlets experience was horrible... no parking spots, wall to wall people, long lines in every store (Nike had at least 50 people in line - we stopped counting after that). The crowds at the outlet stores made the Disney parks seem empty.
Would you ever come and visit for just one day? I think you have to figure that into the equation. If you buy multi days then the days get cheaper the more days you buy. I think that devalues the one days some but I could be overcomplicating it. What is the value of the gift card?
That's just a regular day at the outlets,They're full from opening to closing and they close later than regular malls at 11pm.Which one did you go,Vineland or International drive?I've started to avoid the International drive location as everything you mentioned is worse,I'll go if I need a store that's not at Vineland but otherwise I always go to Vineland.
The gift card is the value of what you paid for the race (which was about $190.)
ONE one day park hopper ticket is valued at about $160 and they're giving you two. With Disney, tickets are most expensive initially and then you add on less as you add days.
If we go twice and get 5 day hoppers they'd be $436 each time with tax for a total of $872 for the two trips. With these two base tickets we'd only be paying the difference each time from the one day to a five day which would end up being about $552 total for the two trips. So we'd be getting more value up front which also in turn would save us about $300 each on future tickets. Am I figuring this correctly??
That's the key - if they cannot be upgraded, we would never use them. We never go for just one day, and would never pay that rate for a single day, so they have no value to me if they are not able to be upgraded. Glad that I am getting the gift card. We will use that later this year when we return (we have APs).I don't think that these tickets will be upgrade-able. Most of Disney's complimentary tickets are not. If we can upgrade the tickets, the park hopper tickets will be a no brainer for us.

Well that would change everything! Haha I didn't know they wouldn't be upgradeable. Thanks so much for the heads up!
I was thinking the same thing.I have decided to wear warm gear tomorrow since I will be stopping a lot for pictures with characters. With all of the standing before the race and during the race, I would prefer to be too warm than too cold. I'll just slow down a little more and have fun with it.
I was thinking the same thing.
I mean about the stopping, this dressing warmer. I was already gonna go slow.I walked around Epcot today in the outfit I had planned on wearing for the half and was SO cold. That was a wake-up call.
I will be wearing at least three pairs or leggings (two base-layer leggings and one regular legging) and then at least four long-sleeves shirts under my North Face jacket. Also, gloves and a hat.
I hate the cold and actually shivered for a good five minutes while sitting at dinner tonight, so all the clothes it is.
