Marathon Weekend 2017!

This week's Sundays are for Disney: where is your favorite place to eat at Disney?

Favorite Table Service: Raglan Road (It's not Bleedin' Chowder is bleedin' awesome!)

Favorite Counter Service: Columbia Harbour House & Tangierine Cafe

On a side note, having been at DL for the races this weekend, WDW please please please bring back the sourdough bread bowls for the Columbia Harbour House clam chowder!!! I have missed them so much and have enjoyed having them again here in DL!

I know I'm in the minority re: BOG, but we were really psyched to get in; then someone stole our reservation one night and when they got us rescheduled for another night, we basically sat alone in the big room to the right. It felt like a cafeteria and the food was nothing more than average.

My go-to dining spot in MK is Columbia Harbor House.
Did you do dinner, lunch or breakfast? I've only done dinner and lunch and dinner to me is superior. They sat us in the west wing (the dark room) both times and it's really a lot of fun there. I suggest maybe you give it another try or try it for a different meal and maybe it will be a different experience.

What!? That's awful! How does that even happen?
Happened to us once at Crystal Palace and once at Mama Melroses, with the episodes being probably 7-8 years apart. After waiting a long time, I went to the desk at Crystal Palace and told them we'd been waiting a long time, and they checked and said, "But you've already been seated." Seems another person with the same first name and a party of 3 was seated in our place! At Mama Melroses, the lobby is so small that we were waiting right outside the door and a walk-in heard them say"... party of 5" and just asked what name they had said and then claimed to be me! Same scenario, we wondered what was taking so long and they said, "But your party has already been seated!" Um, no!

Sanaa is my favorite place to eat. My husband and I have reservations at both Ohana and the Yatchsman for marathon weekend which are two places we haven't had the chance to eat at yet so we are excited. Pretty pumped about being kid free and getting to try out these places in January!

We did dinner. Admittedly, the lunch menu looks much more appealing.

They called our name and party of 4 and someone else waltzed up and took it. And it's not like I have an even remotely common last name, so I'm guessing it was intentional.

Via Napoli is our tradition. Pizza could be 90% of my diet if I'm being honest.

Quick service- fish and chips at Yorkshire!

Hoop Dee Doo is on our fave list, too! Some of the most fun our family has had in years of visiting WDW

That sucks! Totally not cool!

Real easy fix - when you're told that you've "already been seated", simply say that you're in that party and that you had momentarily stepped away and ask to be taken to your table (all true statements). When the host/hostess takes you to the table, it's ID time...

My favorites are OHana and Biergarten for dinner (the atmosphere and the all you can eat factor are great), BOG for lunch, and Kona for breakfast.

Way too many to name! We LOVE Raglan Road- it is usually our go to place. However this time, we are trying a few new places for us- Homecoming and the Boathouse!
We are taking exactly the same approach - Homecoming for comfort food (at a third of the decibel level of Raglan Road) Friday evening before the half, and then Boathouse for a celebratory chill-out dinner Sunday evening after the full. I like the fact too that there are indoor and outdoor options at both places - if we have heat to deal with during the weekend races then at least we can eat outside.
