Marathon Weekend 2016

And she's got an iron stomach or a good diet! Or both.

Listen, y'all. One of my best girlfriends pooped ON A BUILDING, OUT IN THE OPEN, WITH PEOPLE PASSING BY during our local half marathon in February. That was enough of a cautionary tale for me to get myself right with Running Jesus or whatever and make sure I was never in that situation.

All this talk about character and bathroom breaks makes me wonder ...
Would I hate my bathroom breaks less if they had a Disney photo-op in the bathroom?
Seriously ... I have such a hard time getting restarted after a bathroom break, but I'm fine after character and/or picture breaks. So maybe I should do my bathroom breaks near the character stops (course permitting) and see what happens ...

And she's got an iron stomach or a good diet! Or both.

If you do enough experimenting and practice with your fueling & hydration beginning 24 hours before your long runs, you can find out what combination gives you the energy you need while keeping you from having to stop along the way. Simple & easy to digest carbs & protein the night before coupled with a cessation of drinking an hour before the start are good ways to achieve this.

My heart says this means beer, but my brain knows you mean otherwise. :sad1::sad:

@Ariel484 -- Speaking of uggghhhhhhhh ... the ? between PDC and Dopey in '18 in your signature makes me sad. :(
SAME. Sort of thinking about giving Wine & Dine another shot though, which would replace the "...?..." I've done that race twice and have yet to have a 100% awesome experience. 3rd time's a charm? :teeth:

I like your thinking! Or try to squeeze in another Dumbo while your Premiere Pass is still good??

I'm going to save @Keels the trouble of having to keep typing the same thing...
If you're considering a trip to Disneyland and/or have a DL AP (or Preimier Pass) that will expire in or after September 2016 ... RUN DUMBO!!

(meanwhile ... I'm now not sure I'll be making it out there for that weekend ... life drama is the worst)

I second this motion!
I already have quite a few trips planned for 2016, and I want to a.) not get divorced and b.) come out of this with my savings account in tact, so I highly doubt Dumbo will happen for me in 2016. Not saying it isn't a brilliant idea (because...obviously), but it's unlikely...:teeth:

A.) is important, but depending on how things are set up A. could lead to a increase in B.... I kid I kid.

Wait. You can be a Disney fan AND have a savings account? That's not in the guidebook!!

In all seriousness, I'm THINKING I may do Dumbo next year; I obvioulsy will at least do the 1/2, since that will be my Coast-to-Coast, but why not get ALLLLLLL THE MEDALS!
